$100 Dollars Got A Young Man FIRED FROM BIG BEAR:
$100 Dollars Got That Same Young Man RE-HIRED....
Knock, Knock, Knock My sister Roslyn Freeman shopped at Big Bear on the West End. Roslyn used a Debit Card to pay for her groceries. The next day as Roslyn was calling her Bank to check her balance for that day to do more shopping. Roslyn notice that she had MORE MONEY THAN SHE EXPECTED. Oh Know Roslyn thought her transaction at Big Bear on the West End DID NOT GO THROUGH THE DAY BEFORE. Roslyn RUSHED to Big Bear Grocery Store and asked to speak to a manager. While waiting for the manager Roslyn looked around to see if she could spot the young man that rung her groceries up the day before. Roslyn didn't see the young man. YOU KNOW WHY? The young man had been FIRED because his cash register was short by $100 dollars. OH MY GOD!!! CHECK OUT THIS REMARKABLE SISTER OF MINE COMING BACK TO BIG BEAR GROCERY STORE TO PAY THE $100 THAT DID NOT COME OFF HER DEBIT CARD THE DAY BEFORE. Read moreI went to this store about 3 weeks ago, and was deeply impressed at the lengths to which this very small store has gone to protect shoppers on workers.
Many of the workers and shoppers wore masks. Splashguards are installed at the register.
6 feet distance is clearly marked for shoppers.
Much of the produce is in packaging, but you will still want to sanitize packaging and thoroughly rinse produce from any store at this time.
The produce is always a good price, bugees are good, fair amount of parking.
This store is also notably not on most shopping delivery websites, so they are likely attracting one stop shoppers.
Im not sure how they are with paid sick leave, and hazard pay, but I suggest tipping your clerk (especially via cash app or contactless) to show support for our most likely lowest wage, essential employees.
Happy May Day! Your boss needs you, you...
Read moreI'm not really a great fan of the area that big bear is in but I love their prices I love the quality of food it is close to the quality of a Walmart store prices are similar to Walmart but more variety and much more healthier looking items in the produce department I gave him a 4 because now and it was your greens and their produce were quality product but they gave you a whole lot compared to what you would normally get at the store and the prices were exceptionally great they did not have a deli or a bakery however they do sell cake items and some deli items they do have a in-store meat department that offers a great variety of meat and awesome awesome selection the store also carries alcohol as well it's worth the 45-minute drive and I will continue to shop there as long as they...
