I have been a loyal customer of Community Foodscapes for about 7 years. My colleague referred them to me because she had been using them to help with her front yard vegetable garden. She invited me to see her garden. I saw it and it was very impressive. I then contacted them and found that they were very professional. They would come and have an in-person consultation and then send a detailed itemization of what the job would entail, how many men would come and approximately how many days it would take. They also estimated the amount of soil in pounds they would need to haul away, and its estimated cost. This allowed me to subtract anything I did not have a budget for at the moment and to keep what I could be able to work on per my budget at the time. I loved their transparency. In addition, they would tell you when and at what time they would come and they would let you know the names of their workers who would be coming. The job would be done exactly as they described it. No extra trace of the work was left behind because they took care of that.
I have used them in multiple landscaping and other projects because they are reliable and are NOT crooks. My latest project was a renovation of my lawn to a garden with stepping stones. My lawn had been reduced to just no grass at all so I decided to make it into a garden. Dave has a wealth of knowledge about botany and he and his crew did such a great job, I could have hugged him like they do on the make-over shows. The only reason why I didn't do that was because I was busy at work and he left before I could see him. The results were beyond my expectations.
I definitely plan to continue using Community Foodscapes in the future. I hope they think I am a good customer. In this world of stories of construction people doing things like digging a hole for a pool and never coming back or wedding photographers getting all the money but not showing up for a couple's wedding (a story I recently saw on the news), Community Foodscapes is a company you can rely on doing quality work, being a company with integrity and skill.
I highly recommend this company! I do not go on social media much but wanted to share and give proper congratulations to a well run and honorable company. I wish you much...
Read moreI encountered one of community foodscapes employees today at Publix on La Vista and was extremely disheartened. One of your employees driving a green pickup truck (maybe a chevy) walked up on my aunt and I as we were walking to our car, which was parked in a handicap, as my aunt is handicap and had her valid handicap sticker in the car window!!!!! The employee said as he walked up on us “I think there was someone looking for that handicap spot earlier what a shame.” and he actually kept talking as he started walking away. So to begin, about two years ago my aunt broke her left ankle and had to get two screws in and not even a full year later she had a reverse bucket tear in her left ACL and a ripped meniscus that had to be replaced in the same knee, not to mention a year prior to both injuries she dislocated her left shoulder. This meaning she has had four major surgeries within the last three years. I recently was in a horrific hit and run accident and endured a concussion and a lacerated knee where I received 35 stitches!! Saying all this to say I pray your employee does not treat your clients the way he just treated two strangers that he has never met nor know of. Kindness is a better alternative than assuming as you never what someone is going through or has...
Read moreAround this same time last year, I was exasperated and pretty hopeless about my landscape. I had water issues in my basement that I understood could be fixed via landscaping - and two failed attempts to connect with a landscaping service who could get me a plan and a budget, let alone show up.
Today, my love affair with my lawn is on- it’s my favorite place. When I connected with Mike and CoFo, he took a plan, brought it to meet my budget and preferences, and scheduled a crew in about 10 days.
The crew worked tirelessly for 2 weeks in August heat to finish phase one. They even loved on my puppy who decided he needed to supervise. Did a large installation of plants and hardscaping… and did indeed fix the water issue.
They’ve just returned and finished phase 2 and it’s amazing. Once again, the crew was on-time, friendly, (remembered my pup and were so lovely with him) and truly care about the work the do — and it shows.
As a new lawn- keeper, I have a million questions, most basic, and Mike always takes the time to answer. Even doing research when something new comes up.
Will be calling CoFo for phase 3 in the fall! In the meantime, I’m glad I have the opportunity to stay in touch via...
