Discovering this salon was the most traumatic beauty event of my lifetime. I did the QiQi hair treatment which is similar to a keratin treatment. I was told at most any breakage etc would be similar to having blonde which I was very use to and I was ok with that. However this was not the case. My hair use to long (butt length) heathy, luxurious and my greatest feature. Now my hair is shoulder length, literally from it falling out. It looks like itās been chewed off & fried in a fire. No matter how many trims I have, it relentlessly breaks and I will have to grow an entire head of hair. The treatment was July ā23 and I am still suffering so much with deep deep saddness. Realistically it will be 5 years before I get my hair back. I tried getting through to Lisa soo many times and was blocked by Karnie. And my stylist Jailyn would not allow me either. They keep Lisa very protected and wonāt even let her know how destructive her products are. I was gaslit by them both and told it was probably the way I care for my hair! Iāve been in a depression ever since I had the deeply unfortunate experience of ever finding this salon. Iāve held off my review for a long time because I just wanted to block it from my memory, but itās impossible because I still cry about this every single day! And I canāt believe how awful they were to me after! In my 15 years of living in ATL, no place has traumatized me like this one.
Update in response: We love a snarky ChatGPT response with further gaslighting! I failed to mention that the big hair fry does not happen in the moment youāre in the chair. (Which is why I was back a couple times for my pink color touch-upās) This extended release hair breakage helps their case to blame the damage right back on you. It took about a month to realize something was off. But by Christmas my hair was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to Craig McQueen for almost 2 years now and have been extremely pleased with customer service overall. Caroline is the absolute best!!! However, I am very disappointed with my last appointment. And ladies let me warn you: they do take the cancelation policy extremely seriously and donāt care about anything you are going through. I had scheduled an appt with Caroline the last time i was there. When i got closer to the appt date i had to travel out of the country unexpectedly. When I came back to the US, turned on my phone and had a voice mail and a text message saying that if i didnāt show up to the appt the next day they were going to charge me 50% of the service scheduled. Since I really needed my highlights done asap and went ahead and did them overseas the week before, so obviously i didnāt need to do them again a week later. Very stressed out and disappointed I said ok letās go ahead and go and get a haircut, a hairdo, and get my shampoo. So that way I make up for the service. To my surprise they still charged me 50% of the highlights service because āI went with a different serviceā so at the end of the day ended up paying for the most expensive unnecessary hair cut ever. They not only charged me the 50% of the highlights but also the haircut, shampoo, and style. Even though I used the time. I really have mixed feelings as I love Caroline but the fact that they donāt care and they will charge you no matter what what they consider is a lack of consideration, and poor costumer service. If I was the manager, and giving that Iām a regular customer, since it was the first time i would give it a āwarningā and leave it in the costumer profile notes. Saying that if that happened again it would be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJoelle was amazing! She listened to what I wanted, and heard exactly what I was asking for. I am growing all of my hair out for the first time (instead of my usual undercut/man-bun), and my hair was becoming a thick unmanageable mess. Joelle took the time to discuss with me what cut she was going to do to keep as much length as possible while making sure my hair looked healthy and presentable, and also what products I should be using for upkeep and styling for my specific hair type. For a man like me, who normally goes to the local barbershop where they only use cippers, and occasionally gets cleaned up every couple of months, it was refreshing to have such a talented stylist use her gift with scissors to actually cut my hair! The only negative thing I can say is that now that I've decided to grow my hair out I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to go back and see Joelle again... but, if and when I ever do need another hair cut, she will be the stylist I will be returning to when the time comes! For others like me, that are new to this environment, the cost of the services and products are more than I am used to paying at other barbershop I used to visit, so be prepared (however this seems to be in line for most salons I saw online), but I have learned that with some things in life, quality is definitely worth paying for. There's a saying that I live by when it comes to my body art: "Good tattoos ain't cheep, and cheep tattoos ain't good." Seems to fall in line for the art of hair stying as well. š Do yourself a favor folks, and the next time you need a moment of self care in the form of hair therapy, go see Joelle at Craig McQueen...
