Marley EAV — Attraction in Atlanta

After the change of ownership and management (it's no longer a Graystar property) in 2022, Marley EAV has experienced a decline in cleanliness and safety. As a former resident who still visits friends living there, I am disappointed with the current state of the complex.

The hallways are consistently dirty with trash left outside. Elevators don't get cleaned and always have spills. There are cigarette butts in breezeways on every floor (even though it’s a no smoking complex).

There is no security patrol or after-hours courtesy officer, which is a noticeable change from before. This lack of security has made residents feel vulnerable, especially following the shooting at the complex earlier this year. I was there this past weekend and witnessed disturbances like fights and yelling at midnight. When my buddy tried to contact the courtesy officer there was a recorded message that the feature had been disabled. Additionally, vehicle break-ins have become more frequent, indicating a lack of attention to resident safety.

It appears that the new owners prioritize rent collection over providing a clean and safe environment for residents. I would recommend any potential tenants to ask questions about safety and cleanliness prior...

Beautiful apartments and amenities however my first month moving in, the key fob would not work for the clubroom, pool or gym. Also my experience with the leasing staff has been absolutely horrible! For starters, I gave the office manager a cashiers check when I first moved in and now they are saying it bounced, which is impossible. Come to find out the front office tried to cash it twice. This was 2 months ago and the issue is still not resolved which is effecting my rent payments every month. Not only that, but my door lock stopped working because "the battery died". (which sounds crazy and is something that should be discussed prior to moving in.) Because of this incidence, someone went into my house and stole things. When I spoke with the office manager and asked if the courtesy officer reached out to her about it, she states "Girl I'm not going to lie, I went out last night". This has been a nightmare! I am hoping things get better soon because I love the location and space but the stress this has caused is...

I took a tour of the property and I must say it is very nice and one of the true luxury apartments in Atlanta with quality finishes and space. The area is is still rebuilding and in the process of converting but SAFETY is definitely a issue here. Multiple ways for someone to easily slip in .... not to mention they hired a security team that's clearly incompetent. Last week when I walked by to visit the property for a tour I noticed the security guard using his phone..... Not too safe! As a single small Caucasian woman I need some type of security that when I'm walking in my apartment I won't get mugged by some shady character trespassing. Sorry Alexan for $1240 a month I can definitely live in another community that is just as beautiful where my safety won't be compromised. I don't care if your offering 1 month free rent!
