Spices of India — Attraction in Auburn Hills

Fairly well stocked with a decent range of products & grocery. Have helpful staff. However ,they stubbornly for the past 2 years been refusing to change their Card Reader which is quite an antique one and is badly malfunctioning. This results in longer waiting line for the checking out customers,and the cramped space the Card Reader is squeezed in makes it (even for the Sales Associate )very difficult to swipe the card. Repeated & harsh tries at the Cards by these Associates wears down the card quickly. I had to change my Chase Card within an year because of them. I know installing a newer & working Card Reader will cost a few hundred bucks,which the Stores is averse to spend on. Is it being penny wise & Pound Foolish? If at all they change the Card Reader, pl make it possible for the Customer to swipe it please. I have several times brought this to the notice of the Stores,even the Associates look shame faced when they are unable to successfully swipe Cards ! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. During this pandemic, my husband has been picking up our orders from them via curbside. Well, today, they called him to confirm his order was ready and they got his card information. He told them that due to a sudden change in schedule, he would have to leave 30 minutes later than he originally intended. The man on the phone began YELLING at him to the point where my husband had to hold the phone away from his ear and appeared absolutely shocked. I could even hear the man yelling from where I was sitting which was across the room from my husband. He was saying that if my husband is ever going to make changes again, he should respond to some email but my husband wasn’t informed about this procedure. Either way, no business owner should be talking to a customer like that. My husband is a hard-working man and he missed one small procedure which they didn’t even inform him about. Way out of line. Good The place has almost all the different items which people look for in a weekend grocery shopping , clean well maintained place and very helpful staff.

Bad Very expensive compared to all other establishments similar to them. Hope they don't resell items sold in India with a dollar price tag.

We expected items which were imported to be sold here which seems to be the norm we have see at other Indian stores similar to them, don't know why the items have an Indian price in rupees and a dollar price tag!!
