Corner Village — Attraction in Auburn

Disclaimer: I'm only giving this shopping center & Kroger Grocery three stars because my favorite restaurant (New China), sits in the South parking area, facing Kroger. If you wanna know what's going on with Kroger, here's an example...I was in there yesterday shopping with my friend and her little boy. I decided to pay for my stuff and go outside to the car to charge my phone. The doors were locked and I didn't have the keys. I walked to both sides of the car and checked all the doors. So...it turns out that somebody saw me try all four doors, and then called the police on me and reported to them that I was attempting to break into cars. It was a horrific disaster. A lot of cops showed up and they searched me for weapons and drugs, detained all three of us for about half an hour to run our information and check for outstanding warrants. They tried to view the surveillance camera footage but couldn't find an unobstructed view of where the car was parked, nor myself. They let us go and were not rude or disrespectful to us at any time. I believe it is fair to say that we were all so embarrassed by the situation, our grocery shopping after yesterday won't be at the Kroger in Corner Village. My friends and I don't look for a 'likely to be arrested for no reason' as a quality in our local merchants...

I love shopping here. I come from Columbus, Ga once a month to stock up from this store. The products and the variety in the store is amazing. Not to mention, there are always some good deals here. The only issue I have with the store is the late night self checkout. Due my other halves schedule we have had to shop early a.m. hours sometime. This means self checkout, which scanning each item you have to wait on the scales to weigh the item before moving to the next item. If you have two buggies of grocery, the person or people working should be able to check you out quicker. That's just my opinion, but hey if we don't want to experience it but that's our timeframe, we just don't make it here that month. Other than that, it's always a pleasure besides having to bag our own grocery sometimes due to...

As usual my trip from Columbus was well worth it. Didn't really have a meat sale but they haven't been having them lately. I love those so I can stock up. The chicken that was on sale half the stock was not marked. However, the customer service and the product you can find outweigh a few flaws. I was more than satisfied even having to travel from Columbus, Ga just to grocery shop! My ticket was longer than my height we all laughed, even my bagger! Always a pleasure...
