The clearing is a quiet little spot. There were a few other people there relaxing under the shade of the many trees there, amazing views of the Savannah River to the South Carolina border. There is a bathroom located right there as well. The walk to get here is very easy, pretty much flat all the way and easy to access with bicycles.

Always a great day trip, just make sure the river level is up or you're in for quite a bumpy ride snaking around the rocks. Love this trip and we try to do this one at Least once every couple months.
