Carpet Exchange — Attraction in Aurora

1 star because the installers have done a good job (so far) on the project, however communication and planning hasn’t been transparent since they have left the project incomplete. Apparently the measurements were done wrong and they ran out of carpet and couldn’t complete the most important room they had to do and it’s been two days so I call the carpet exchange store on Havana and they guy says “yeah I don’t know doesn’t look like we have anything on order for you” I wait 3 more hours and call back and get the same guy and he says they won’t be able to get in touch with the installers until Monday…so the past 2 days I don’t get any update or it couldn’t have been ordered installation and today? And now I have to wait until Monday so the rooms just going to sit there unfinished with no floor another week at minimum…total inconvenience and waste of customers time for something that should have been handled properly from the start - 1.) shouldn’t have been measured wrong 2.) there should always be extra on hand for orders in case of these inaccuracies 3.) communication with your customers should be top priority if they’re not going to be able to live in their homes for an extended period of time beyond installation (it’s a 1 day job) 4.) when they call and ask where their floor is don’t say I don’t know, get on top of it and get the order placed if it hasn’t been already and call the customer back so they don’t sit around and wonder.

Most useless staff ever. Here is my experience. I go to the store and tell them exactly what flooring I want to order. The dumb lady can't figure out how to work her computer so she says my credit card doesn't work. After giving her a different card she decides hey it must be her computer. She says she will take our info and order the floor when her counterpart is done helping somebody else, so off we go. Next day we get a call (at the end of the day) because she forgot to write down all of the card numbers. So we give her all of the numbers for a second time. She gets around to placing the order at the end of the day after that. So two days after we are in the store the order is placed. Great sense of urgency. Floor was supposed to be in in 7 to 10 days. Floor shows up 11 days later, but wait we can't pick it up because when the dropped it off the truck nobody inventoried it and the warehouse guys have gone home. Heaven forbid somebody in the store inventory something so we could pick it up since it is now two weeks after we were originally in the store.

Don't waste your time with this place.

Follow up to my first review. Had to order one more piece of stair nose. Instead of calling to tell us it had come in they mailed us something. It's 2018. I went in to pick up one piece of stair nose at 7:00 pm and they wouldn't give it to me because the warehouse staff leaves at 5:00. Great customer...

After getting many quotes for our entire home project, we knew that Kim and Jeff F. were the team go with! Jeff was able to come out and be patient with us getting virtually every square inch of our home measured for new flooring. Kim was a wonder to work with, my wife and her were on the same page for design from the very first piece of flooring selection. We went with LVP, Tile, and Carpet for our home. Each of the installer groups were absolutely fantastic! All of them took the time to explain to us what they were doing, how they do it, and informed us of any possible complications. I have to give special love to Whirly and Gabriel, they installed our LVP. They were an absolute joy to have around! My wife and I were sad that their part of the job is over because they wouldn't be coming back. Brain did an excellent job with our upstairs carpet, as well as all the detail work that it took to carpet our floating stairs. Also, a big thank you to Joel who finished the tile around our fireplace and was extremely patient with my wife and the placement of the tiles and the design.
