We booked for my son's birthday party this weekend. When they called to confirm our reservation I asked several questions including when we could set up, how many tables there would be, etc. We showed up and was not allowed to decorate at the time we were told and had to stand around with all his stuff for an hour. We got to the room and it was quite small and has 2 tables not three. Later our party was interrupted TWICE. Once because the manager was showing the room and told the lady this was the smallest room available and second to rush our party helper which was extremely rude! There was no discount for giving us the smallest room or rudely interrupting and they didn't really care what was told on the phone and our dissatisfaction so apparently you can have the smallest or normal/ largest room for the same price. I was also a little disappointed it wasnt a private nerf party. There were tons of kids and even adults playing with us and one of our kids got hit in the mouth by an adult. I get things happen but would have appreciated for $300 that they get to play with each other and not 50+ people.
The ONLY good thing I have to say is that our party helper, Ryan, was absolutely fantastic. He was attentive and kind and definitely recommend requesting him if they allow that.
We certainly wont be booking any other parties here and the other adults at our party wont be either. Hell, you can take 12 kids for $110 on their weekend special and have cake and presents later in the main area or somewhere else. Get there early if you want a table though, there isn't a ton offered. Also, the "10 guests" include your child with...
Read moreI CANNOT say enough wonderful things about Dart’em Up....I mean truly!!.....Rich has really created a paradise for our kids and all their friends here! He is so hard working, engaging and wonderful all around. Walking in...just the atmosphere among the staff and their treatment towards their patrons is ABSOLUTELY top notch! Since the opening of Dart’em Up...the quality of customer care, attention to detail with everyone’s needs and all of their welcoming warmth and hospitality is unquestionably the best of any establishment we have visited or frequented in Austin by far...and believe me.....we have a big family of boys....so we go to a lot of places regularly. What’s really nice as well is that the entire facility is evidently taken care of with a personal touch and everything is kept up with to the ‘T’.....nothing is broken, rundown or patched together and the air and ventilation is always fresh, cool and clean....which is really appreciated because the boys really burn calories here ☺️. If you have a need...the staff will go above and beyond to accommodate it...no matter what it takes...birthday parties here are absolutely by far the easiest, most enjoyable experience you can imagine....your team members make sure to plan and anticipate ahead of time so everything is done efficiently and with quality...not to mention they do the best job with personality and engaging character and charisma....just so accommodating and eager to make everything smooth and successful from start to when the last of you walk out the door....THANK YOU SO MUCH...
Read moreWe've been to friends' birthday parties here as well as had them host one of ours, and they are AMAZING!
Yes, you pay a premium to have somebody else literally do almost all of the work that goes into a party for you. However, it was so very much worth it this year for us, and everybody that came truly seemed to have a wonderful time!
If you are considering having your child's party there, they have details on their website about cost. They also have options for extras such as additional pizzas, drinks, etc. that you might need, depending on the size and preferences of your group. You are only allowed to bring cake/cupcakes/a birthday sweet and/or a fruit/veggie tray, but that's pretty standard for any party location. You'll receive a phone call a few days before the party to confirm details such as the number of expected kids, pizza selections (from Double Dave's), and drink selections. Parties are for kids ages 5+, and each participant will need to have a pre-signed waiver completed before they can participate. Again, that's pretty standard for any place you'll take kids, but I know it can be concerning if it's your first time encountering that.
I'll confess that I'm personally a sucker for their fancy cotton candy machine, and I get one for myself while the kiddos are playing their foam dart games. 😜
Thank you to everybody at Dart 'Em Up for having this wonderful place for...
