Not a great experience.
Originally made an appointment for the South Congress location - I was called about an hour before my appointment to let me know the store was closed due to air conditioning problem (no big deal), but they wanted to reschedule me at the Barton Creek Square location. I was able to get an appointment that same day (great!).
I arrived and found out that my appointment information wasn't properly transferred and they didn't allot enough time for what I needed because the Dr. needed to take their lunch break and was asked to come back later in the day. That was strange, but we figured it out and I needed to come back on a different day anyways because they didn't have trials in my contact prescription.
We spent a long time discussing how I wanted to try the daily contacts, after using bi-weekly contacts for most of my life. We spoke at length about this. When I arrived to my 2nd appointment a few weeks later - they had bi-weekly trials ready for me...... not the daily trials. They wanted to then schedule another appointment for me (3 total appointments) to come back when the daily trials arrived. I was leaving the state for a long time so they suggested they could ship them to me and I can try them on at home (what is the point of a contact fitting appointment if I am just trying them on at home anyways?).
They stated I would be receiving 10 days of trials (and made it seem like this was doing me a favor because normally they only send 5 days of trials - cool!).
I received my daily trials in the mail today and there are only 5 days worth of trials and the shipment showed up several days after when they were supposed to...
Read moreIt ws the beginning of Mercury Retrograde, and it got me good! Long story, short, I was late! And the pre-registering stated that if I was more than 5 minutes late, I would have to reschedule. I called the number on the website to inform them that I was in the parking lot and I would be a few minutes late. The lady said she would send over an email to that affect. By the time I "finally" found Warby, (never been in Barton Creek Square before) I was huffing and puffing from running; and the young lady that greeted me encouraged me to calm down...that all would be well. I'm now at least 15 minutes late. Well, after Donald tried to "fit me in," (unfortunately they were too booked) I had to reschedule for the next day.
The next day I was 15 minutes "early!" Donald (such a nice guy) apologized for the day before that he couldn't get me in. Of course, I acknowledged that it was "my" fault and no apology needed. Then I met Dr. Tanja...what a joy! I have never had such an exciting eye exam... and so thorough. Talk about a professional sweetie. She was simply delightful! After our session, Donald and another young lady (who measured my eyes, etc.) made sure that my glasses were fitted and ordered. I was then I told that I should receive them in about a week. All was well!
Oh, while I was waiting to be seen by the doctor, there was a young lady behind the counter (with lovely streaks of pink in her hair) that helped with selecting my new frames. She assured me that they looked great!
It turned out to be a wonderful day...in spite of...
Read moreI have always had good experiences at Warby Parker but terrible here. I went in because I had been having double vision, and was not taken seriously. I have worn corrective eyewear for 28 years, so know what my vision should be like. After she my updated prescription I was still having double vision so went back. Again, wasn’t taken seriously. She should have referred me to a specialist, rather than say I just needed to “relax.”. I had to drop out of school, etc. She should have recommended I see an ophthalmologist (I didn’t know the difference at the time.). I was just able to get into one and my double vision was confirmed and it is serious. I sent an email into the store and never heard back. If I had a patient who had worn correctives for 28 years with double vision, I would know my place and recommend they see someone who could find out the cause. Worst case if they were a hypochondriac, nothing. Worst case and the patient actually is describing their reality and I din’t recommend a specialist, they have a brain tumor, serious neurological condition, etc. I suppose if you enjoy being gaslit, then this is the...
