For someone who’s never written a bad review, I have no choice but to do so. My friend and I had the single worst experience at a restaurant here. The service was terrible and extremely rude. This particular location is in the mall, right next to an AMC. We walked in here at 9:50pm on Friday (closes at 11pm) for dinner before a late night movie. As we entered, there was a sign that said see the host stand, and an employee walking next to us said “you guys can take one of these tables right here” so we went and sat down. The server saw us and didn’t come to our table until 10:15. She was at another table when we made eye contact and she said “they are looking around for their server. I’m it but they sat themselves so they can wait.” She came over at 10:15 and said “did y’all seat yourselves?” We explained we didn’t, an employee asked us to sit here. She then came back later and said “I asked the hosts and they didn’t seat you.” We again explained it was a guy near the door (we described said guy) who asked us to sit there. She then took our drink and food order at 10:15, and still had mad attitude. She handed us the menus including the drink menu and said “what would you like to drink?” To which my friend replied “it’s our first time here” and she goes “so? Im asking for the drinks?”. Yeah, we get it, but we would’ve like to see the menu to see what kinds of drinks were on offer? We abruptly just ordered sodas instead. Then, Our food (2 burgers, medium rare) came out at 10:50. It does not take 35 mins during slow time to do that. Up until then, we were clearly irked, but still not too mad. The straw that broke the camels back was after serving the food, she goes “about earlier I just said all as a lesson because if the restaurant is busy and you guys seat yourselves it’ll be a problem.” Like what do we have to do at this point to show we didn’t seat ourselves? Ask for the camera footage? I would’ve asked for the manager but we had somewhere to be and had to leave soon. So, the service was absolutely terrible and it took 50 minutes of being in the restaurant to get 2 burgers. As someone who’s eaten at restaurants a lot, I have to say this was the worst service I’ve experienced. But hey, at least the burgers were decent. I wouldn’t name the server in public but if management reaches out I’d be happy to...
Read moreWent to the Barton Creek location today, 1/1/22. We had reservations so being seated/wait time wasn’t an issue. Our waiter was Brianna. She was okay. She did drop water on the floor as well as me. It was an accident, so no big deal. Our first issue was ordering an appetizer. Brianna thought I asked for cauliflower bites, but I actually ordered calamari. We were seated at our table at 4:30. The cauliflower came to us at about 5. That’s kind of long for an appetizer, and for it to be the wrong order. We talked it out and got our calamari at around 5:10. A manager brought it and we asked for it to be on the house because we waited 40 mins for an appetizer and had a wrong order to start out. He told us the appetizer came out in 5mins. Didn’t really like him doubting us. We know how long we’ve been here & been waiting. We explained the issue. He agreed to take it off the bill. Cool. Next issue was me having ordered a “very well done, no pink at all” burger. When my burger arrived around 5:30, it was pink. Brianna took it back, and the manager again came to speak with us. I asked for a smaller patty so it’d cook. The manager agrees to try but said it would take awhile to bring it out.. my burger came back and was better but I was over it by the time all of this was fixed. I had been seated over an our at this point. The last issue was when the bill came. I looked it over and they added and removed the cauliflower, which was expected because I didn’t order it; but the calamari was still there which the manager said would be removed. I told Brianna and she had a little bit of attitude about it. She spoke with the manager and it was removed but since my card had already been charged, I have to wait to see if I get the money back and follow protocol if it’s not. At the end of the day our desert was also free, but there seems to be a communication issue and and a little attitude when...
Read moreFood is good! Nice portions, super tasty and I've always loved the chicken piccata but also some other pasta dishes and lemon meringue cheesecake!.... boy was I really looking forward to that and some wine while my daughter was shopping over the back to school weekend! Service has normally never been an issue at other CCF restaurants however this one was disappointing. We stood in line (about 10 min) to get our name on the waiting list, and were told that we would get a text "when our table was ready" and relying on that info for much over our wait time (30+), I decided to ask if our table was ready. The hostess, after I asked her to, repeated the wrong number back to me (after we verbally confirmed it on the initial interaction) therfore, we lost our table and was told again "you'll get a text when your table is ready". Were talking a table for 2 mind you! Waiting again another extended amount of time (30 min) we decided to leave. We realized we were placed back in line instead of prioritizing our seating (very disappointing) so we left and drove to a great Mexican restaurant a few minutes away in Westlake, had much needed margaritas and delicious food! That brings me to atmosphere, which is sub-par to other CCF's where I've experienced more professional, organized staff amongst a busy weekend and a bar area that normally accommodates open seating (we would have sat and ordered from there) be actually open and available and not used as a holding area for guests waiting to be seated and not ordering food/ drinks. I would know because I waited long enough to watch it occur at more than one table. This particular establishment seemed to be lacking in it's staff on a busy weekend and though everyone seemed to be doing their best, unfortunately this one fell short in my book. When a mistake is undeniably made, make it right....
