I even brought the Elk soles to be put on them. Instead they chemically fused them to the bottoms of the shoes and glues them around the edges. He is young, which surprised me, and said his family has been doing shoe repair for three generations. Read moreJust had a pair of Russell Mocassin oxfords resoled and they did a super job. R-M tells its customers to use only their preferred cobblers, but you have to mail your shoes or boots to them and turnaround time is several weeks. The cobblers at A1 put on a new sole which is much better than the original Gro-Cord sole which came with the shoes, and look better than the original soles. And the shoes were ready in less than 1 week! Definitely take your expensive handmade shoes here...
