Such a great museum. My 7 year old son and I went when he had a day off from school. Usually when I go into a museum I get crazy looks bringing my kid with me. My son really enjoys history and me explaining things to him. Anyway, they were very welcoming. They answered all of my questions and did not treat me any different than if I had gone alone. There is a lot of great information here, one could easily spend a couple hours exploring and reading all of the newspapers and artifacts. My son really enjoyed seeing what an old school house looked like and how the children learned back then. I really enjoyed the WWII room. So much great information in this building. This museum has a great deal of extensive and rich history exhibits and information of the Bainbridge area on display, things like the life of the early native tribes, the various industries of the region, how the area populated and grew, etc. I don't believe that and average person could look at and read everything in detail in just one visit. My wife and I spent 2 to 3 hours here on our way through in 2015 and it was like having a single bite of a fabulous meal and stopping! Looking forward to a future visit if possible.
