I get it, its the end of a long winter and Covid has taken its toll on places like this. I am sympathetic. The Quality Inn is the low priced or "Budget" accommodation on the Island. However I have stayed about 30 days in hotel/motels in 2022 and this is by far at the bottom of the list. First, what is positive: The staff were really nice especially Emma. Our room was clean and neat, the bed comfy and for 5 nights overall quiet day and night. (Except road noice from the highway) The location is a good one if you want to be close to stores and restaurants and ferry to Seattle. What is disappointing: the property itself badly needed cleaning. All rooms have outside entrances and the walkways were dirty and wood rotting on railings. Parking lot and sidewalks need cleaning. They have a pool and hot tub closed down full of rainwater and debris, the wood fence starting to fall down. Shabby is the best word. Breakfast is included in your room rate but minimal compared to other hotels in this price range such as the Holiday Inn Express. So overall, this is the least expensive hotel on Bainbridge but is clearly rundown and not being maintained. You will get a decent room but at a cost comparable to other chains that offer better value and quality. They are the only game in town at this price point so it appears they are taking advantage of this and making little to no effort to spruce the place up. There is a much nicer, slightly more expensive hotel(Depending on season and holidays etc. ) a block away if you don't mind paying a bit more to get more. I have to rate them poor because compared to others I have stayed in traveling all over the west coast, they are...

Hotel is in a great quiet spot but the rates are not worth it even for an island stay. This is a $125 a night Super 8 room & we paid $360 with taxes. Way Overpriced !
We came in on Friday night after missing one Ferry so we had to get the next which made us late checking in. Got in at 12:20 am...
We wanted to take a shower after driving all day & no hot water, we had to run the water for like 10 minutes just to get Luke Warm water, then it turned to Yellow water so we stopped using it completely. Looks like they never ran the water here & it was rust or something in the lines. Like dark yellow, very gross.
Because of the water the lady at night was nice & offered to change our room but I said no because of the time. The next morning at 8:20 am the landscape guy was using a Gas Blower right outside our windows & blowing rocks & debris off the driveway right towards my parked truck, waking us up.
When I called upset asking why this was going on right outside our windows the manager yelled at me saying the guys were doing their jobs & blaming me for getting in so late & acted like it was a big deal that she had to be working today too. So much for Customer Service !
The guy did not need to be blowing off the sidewalks at a hotel at 8 am in the morning & it's not at all my fault for the water not being hot, & also it shouldn't be an issue when a traveler gets in late. That's the hotel business !
So overall, I give them BOTH THUMBS DOWN on Service, Price,...
Read moreI don't want to mislead anybody. The rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. All the staff that I interacted with were very friendly. It was explained to me upon arrival that Bainbridge was enforcing a conservation policy and that the rooms would not have some of the amenities we were used to like the small shampoo and conditioner but would be provided if we came to the front desk and asked. I didn't think of it as much of an issue because we typically bring our own. But when we got in the room and discovered how striped down it was I thought this is a money grab by management. No Kleenex to blow your nose, no glass to get water in to brush your teeth, not even hand soap in a time that everyone is supposed to constantly be washing their hands... I went to the desk and asked for a bar of soap and they were happy to provide it to me. Later we needed some ice and I went to look for a ice machine after roaming the property for some time I went to the office to find they were rationing it. They politely gave me a pre assembled glad bag with ice. If this is truly about conservation and recycling and not about money wouldn't it be wiser to have the self serve ice machine instead of putting ice in non recyclable bags? and I'm not sure how big of impact a reusable glass (not paper cup but real glass) in the room hurts.... But I can understand how not having to do dishes saves time...
