Eagle Harbor Wine Co — Attraction in Bainbridge Island

DO NOT buy from here.... I went for wine tasting with my wife today. The lady in the counter gave us a scan from top to bottom making us feel uncomfortable and when we asked for red wines to taste on the sweeter side, she said they don't make those with a side eye and said there may be other shops on the island. It was more than obvious that she was not interested to sell to us. As a brown Indian person, this isn't my first instance of passive implicit racism... And I'm not sure if this is my last but it's my duty to report it... I hope that lady reads this and tries to change if at all there is some conscience in her. We will never recommend this place to anyone and make sure to tell this experience to all our friends and family. Indians please stand united against such atrocities and don't encourage such businesses. Our money is worth more when spent on better...

My friend and I loved everything about this place - including, to our surprise, EACH of the wines we tasted (how often does that happen?). The tasting fee is reasonable and is waved if you purchase bottles, which we did.... they'll be enjoyed back home in Colorado. A great stop after arriving on the ferry and heading for the OP. Looking forward to visiting again on...

I am a Certified Sommelier and frequent the winery. Amazing quality! Well priced! Consistent product! Friendly wine maker and staff!
