This long weekend we got a sweet deal ($174) on a trip to Seattle - a wonderful food city with a large Japanese food presence.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There will be several posts about our trip to Seattle but the first is about a day where we took a quick trip to Bainbridge, an island more or less only accessible by ferry. The views on the way there were amazing but by the time we got there we were super hungry and ended up at a place called Teriyaki Town.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I personally did not know this but Seattle is known for their chicken teriyaki and T-town definitely did not miss - let's talk about why:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The chicken - the differentiating factor here in my opinion is that at some point the chicken was char grilled making the outside a little smokey and crispy, which you do not get at your local mall food court⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The sauce - the teriyaki sauce itself was absolutely delicious, i couldn't stop eating it, you can also get it spicy if you'd like⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The rice - there's something beautiful about steamed rice and teriyaki sauce, I could eat that starchy rice all by itself⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do yourself a favor next time you're in Seattle and get a chicken teriyaki - it's no stretch to say it's the best chicken teriyaki I've ever...

I can’t sing enough praises for t-town honestly - I have tried just about everything on the menu by this point and it is all PHENOMENAL. The salad is always crisp and fresh, the rice is always cooked incredibly well, and every meat I’ve had has been grilled with care and love to absolute perfection. No matter what you get, you can’t go wrong! This is an Island institution that refuses to sacrifice or compromise on the quality of their food, and that rings through with their consistency as well. This is some of the best teriyaki I’ve had in my (almost) 30 years in Western Washington. It hits every spot. The spicy chicken is real spicy, not pretend spicy. It leaves my lips tingling afterwards and I live for that kind of spice in my life. The sauce and marinade is tasty, full of depth, and has a rich flavor profile without being saccharine or overwhelmingly sweet. It all has such a nice, delicate balance. I could eat t-town 7 days a week (if not for them being closed on Sundays). Absolutely stop here, and eat whatever sounds good to you - it’s sure to taste fantastic! (pics of all my takeout over the last 2-3 months 🤣 some things i requested specifically for an additional fee on...

I've been here a few times. Never impressed with their service, but the food was good so i've been back a couple of times. Today (1/20/2020) I went there again for lunch, and took it to go. While I was eating I kept smelling something that smelled musty or like mildew, I thought it was just me. Then quickly realized it was not after I had an asthma attach, and broke out into hives on my chin and neck because their napkin was stored in a place that REEKED of mold. My plastic ware was wrapped in the napkin. I consumed the mold from my fork, and whipped my face with it. I'm allergic to mold, and this was the result. They HAVE to know this is a problem, and they serve the napkins anyway. Makes me wonder what else they are hiding, or ignoring so they don't have to fix it. This is a huge health concern and everyone should be aware that they do not care if they are putting your...

My friends and I were looking for a quick lunch on our day exploring the cute island of Bainbridge. This place serves delicious Japanese food with large portions that is both fresh and flavorful. My friend and I shared the chicken terriyaki and pork yakisoba. The meat was super well marinated and blackened and the vegetables and rice were crisp and tender. This is some of the best terriyaki and yakisoba I’ve ever had and definitely was a highlight of our day. The staff were super friendly and the interior is simple but cute. There is free iced and hot water for your taking although I don’t think there is a bathroom so we went to the nearby free art museum to use the restroom. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick, delicious filling nourishing meal!
