WARNING DO NOT GO HERE FOR NAIL SERVICES!!! I LEFT WITH A FUNGAL INFECTION ON MY NAILS!!! So for some background information, I have gotten my nails done here several times. I always get a gel manicure with acrylics. It is overpriced? Always. Are they always just ok and sometimes bad? Yes. So I stopped going and haven't looked back, that is, until my friend needed her nails done for her wedding. I suggested going to this nail location as well as other spots in the city. She picked this nail location. She called about a week in advance and set up an appointment for her to get gel over her natural nail and I wanted a full set. We arrive on time and it's close to closing time (again we could have done another time but we scheduled this in advanced and they said it was ok). They rushed both our nails. My set was almond shape with french tips but with different colors. She didn't understand what I wanted (cool that's fine so I show pictures) she finally gets it and says, "Do you want to do that, it's kind of ugly." WHAT? I laugh it off because I have worked in food service/customer service for almost 20 years. (if you know, you know) So she rushed my set and they turn out JUST ok. But it's $85. And I tip because customer service brain. So I basically paid $100 for a full set of rushed nails that are just ok. Cut to today (three weeks later) I go to another nail spot for a fill in/touch up on color. She uses the dremel tool on my nails and I start to see dark green spots under my nails. Turns out IT'S A FUNGAL INFECTION FROM UNCLEAN EQUIPMENT AND A RUSH JOB ON MY NAILS. My nails can't have anything done to them for over a week and my fingers hurt from the FUNGAL INFECTION they gave me. I've been getting my nails done for YEARS and I have never seen anything like this. (I hate to be this person right now) But if I could give zero stars I would and honestly AVOID THIS SPOT. Final review: OVERPRICED, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GAVE ME A FUNGAL INFECTION.

I was hesitant to write this review since my first experience with them went well. I went for my second appointment again today and was horrified at the nail technician they assigned me. Not only did she leave deep cuts while cutting my cuticles that bled but did not seem to feel any remorse for doing so. When I pointed out the cuts, she said absolutely nothing and did not even utter a word of apology. I requested for an alcohol pad to swab the area to prevent any infection and she did so begrudgingly. Additionally, I requested for an oval shape for my nails and the way she did it made my nails look completely uneven along with some top coat she haphazardly painted on. Another younger nail technician took over after and profusely apologized for the cuts on my cuticles, reshaping my nails for me as best as she could. All I have to say is that if you are not happy with your job, please do not take it out on your customers and clients who are paying you for a service. I am deeply saddened by this incident and do not plan on returning for fear the same thing would happen. I do not mean to say that every nail technician here is just the same as the one I got on this fateful day. However, I think this incident goes a long way in showing the kind of service that can be provided.

BURNED/SLICED INTO MY CUTICLE SKIN THEN CHARGED MY CARD A TIP! I decided to get my nails dipped in powder instead of gel nails . Nails weren't soaked or anything she just starts filing the gel paint off my nails && goes straight into dipping afterwards... so I asked if cuticle service was included she says afterwards, I thought cutting cuticles meant cutting them .. she uses the acrylic machine to cut the skin from around my fingers ??????? && if you don't know what that feels like it BURRRRRNNNNSSSS .... So she literally burns/slices the skin from around my nail! I said you just sliced my finger && she doesn't do anything. Once I literally show her it's bleeding she just uses sum green gel && treats it like it was never there.... so I asked the owner if there are discounts our anything he could do .. he said all they do is apply first aid. I specifically didn't tip her for slicing into my skin && I noticed an extra $10 applied to my account .. which is fine cause I'll never be back 🤷🏾‍♀️ ( see photos )

I really wanted to love this place, I don't.

Let me just list the pros and cons here. & let me mention I'm typing w a broken nail 12 hours after visit.

Pros - great neighborhood, assessable to the belt way, beautiful environment, very friendly staff members, beautiful nail shades, creative designs, quality polish colors & most importantly... Great Yelp Reviews.

Cons - 1 day later I'm still picking gel from under my nails, street metered parking (inexpensive), the hidden fees that are free courtesies everywhere else (Charged $5 for nail fix that was clearly a glue/ powder fix), not being offered a soft drink when the website screams offering of soft drinks, lack of punctuality (I waited 27 minutes after my appointment time to be seen which made me late to anniversary dinner with my husband), rush job throughout pedicure & no suggested selling of callus remover & I know I need callus remover but you can't use it if you only do a pedicure 20 minutes.

The gentleman was so rough w the nail tools while removing gel polish that my nail beds were sore. I didn't say anything just hoping he was almost finished. I did appreciate the fact that they completely soak off gel polish and don't use machine.

Sooo I went back to have nail fixed mentioned earlier and MiMi took great care of me. She assessed the situation and used powder to seal the slit. Great experience! I walked right in, had this taken care of and left in less than 15 minutes!!

Everything happens for a reason because prior to returning for nail fix, I was hell bent on not returning. I now would return and request MiMi or another female for assistance.

Ok, ANOTHER nail slit 24 hrs after initial set. This nail was 1 of 2 that I paid to have corrected. I called to inform staff of mishap. They handled it the best way they saw fit and invited me back to the spa for fixture. I explained I'm not returning due to the inconvenience, parking situation and time being taken but wanted to request they educate the gentleman who completed my services so no other customers have the same experience.

Now it's 27 hours after initial visit and BOOM, the other nail paid for repair from last night has slit.

Nope... don't...

Costumer service was awful the first time I went. The man was very rude and seemed annoyed that he had to do my nails. Then another woman working there also grabbed my hand without saying anything to me and just began to inspect it when he walked away from doing my nails. ( this woman was not responsible for doing my nails) so I found it strange. regardless of this experience, I thought maybe they were just having a bad day so I came in again a few months later and they were EXTREMELY rude and allowed me to sit there without staying that nobody would be available to do full sets for the rest of the day. I understand it was Saturday and that they were busy but the condescending attitude was completely uncalled for . Today when I came in I greeted everybody when I entered and everyone just stared at me and ignored me for 2 min until finally The man spoke up and said how can I help you? I told him I would like to get a full set and he just said we don’t have any full sets today and then another woman rudely said call next time without even directly looking at me. At this point I am extremely dissatisfied and they are also EXTREMELY overpriced and rude with the service. I also was not satisfied with the quality of my nails when I got them done here the first time they only lasted 2 weeks then began to all drop off. DO...
