I used to love coming here…every 2-3 weeks I would be in for a dip manicure. Recently it has become increasingly disappointing and difficult to communicate services with the staff. Most of my gals in the city have stopped coming here and I definitely should have listened to them! I showed a design I wanted and instead of telling me that the design was too difficult (I’m always happy to try something else) or asking me to wait for a staff member that actually had the skills to do the design, I left the salon with a horrific attempted flower. It was late and I knew they just wanted me to leave (which they made very clear by putting up the chairs, turning off the music)…which was terribly frustrating as I had to attend a work event and wedding with these things! I appreciate them not charging for the design, but kinda ridiculous that I just had to walk out with an ugly design stuck on my finger for the next 3 weeks. The other times I’ve been in, I’ve had issues selecting colors because their samples sit out in the sun and fade to nearly unrecognizable colors. I wanted a subtle nude pink, but left with bubble gum hot pink because the staff told me it was my fault for not checking with my nail tech that the color I selected was actually that color shown on the sample?! It was humiliating. The staff turnover is getting so bad, every time I come in I’m told something completely different. Most nail techs are visibly annoyed if I ask questions to clarify or are annoyed that I don’t speak up enough…you really can’t win and end up just feeling like a bother either way. Trying to keep up with all the different direction and shaming from the staff makes my head spin…I think my days going to polished are over :(

Undeserving of 1 star. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! I have been going to polished on and off for almost 6 years now. Every manicure I have gotten has been phenomenal until recently. I have referred numerous friends and strangers to this salon and even had my bridal nails done here for my own wedding. The past 3 visits have been prolonged despite having appointments. This most recent one was beyond disappointing. I made an appointment for 5:45 and arrived at 5:30. The salon was busy but I was assured I would be taken care of. I did not get seated at a station until 6:15 for my dip to be soaked off. I sat for about 20 min and even offered to come back another day if they could just get the soak off finished. Again I was assured they had the staff and I would be next. My entire manicure was rushed and sloppy. I barely looked at the finished product because I just wanted to get home. I finally left at 7:30. I had one tip placed for a broken nail and the jagged nail was not even trimmed so the tip is nowhere close to adhering to my nail. The manicure seems to have been cured with dust under the top coat?? The color is uneven and my nails look wide and bubbly. Lastly, the skin around my nails is swollen and so severely dry from the long period of time with acetone soaking. I was a loyal customer for so long and am saddened that I paid good money for such a poor product.

The salon has a pretty interior and they have good manners but that’s about it. I got a Gel Manicure and Gel Pedicure and left feeling okay with one and upset about the other. Gel Pedicure - was done by a gentleman who in the beginning seemed to be rushing instead of taking his time when cutting my cuticles. As a result he ended up taking some flesh which hurt so bad I wanted to cry. I sat through the rest of my service with a bleeding finger (Which continued to bleed for the remainder of the day) He slowed down after hurting me but when he went to use the buffer tool he hurt my other finger too. Stung quite a bit when he sprayed alcohol on my fingers near the end. To top it off my nails had a hair stuck to it, weren’t even cute and bulky… they looked kinda caked on. I expect this to start lifting in a day or two. Gel Pedicure - Was done by Van. She was really kind and sweet. Took her time and the pedicure was decent. <3 (* it’s been a day since I went and my finger looks worse than it did originally. It’s more tender to the touch and might need antibiotic )

Shorter Version: Owner has been incredibly rude not on one occasion, but two. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. I have worked years in customer service and management and I know these things happen, I know what it's like to be on the other end, but repetitive horrible customer service from an owner is inexcusable.

Full Story: I had been to polished once with a friend who wanted to get our nails done there right before her wedding. This is her usual place and she goes to the owner, Quanne, but after her experience that night she has said that she won't be going back. She made the appointment way in advance, with Quanne, and let them know it was for her wedding. She got a day before call that her nails would be done by someone else, to which she was disappointed, but understanding. She then got a call as we were on the way to the salon (early, she is never late) from Quanne curtly asking where she was, that she was waiting on her. When we arrived, Quanne was short, incredibly rude, and told my friend she was missing a family engagement. She guilt tripped my friend the entire night, when she's a regular of hers, getting her nails done for HER WEDDING. My friend never complained or made a big deal when Quanne cancelled last minute, so if she made the choice to come in and do her nails, she should have been professional. That night I had my nails done by Kim. She did a pretty great job, and this studio is closer to my house than my regular, so I figured I'd give them another try.

I called ahead and made appointments for my mother and I over the phone, speaking with the owner, Quanne. Two pedicures, a regular manicure, and a dip manicure with Kim. When my mother arrived, she let them know that we had made appointments when we signed in. Our pedicures were okay, not great, other than my technician discussing my feet with the woman next to him and me and my mother, which was not the most comfortable. They then took my mother over for her manicure, and my technician told me I could go sit next to her. After a while I went to the receptionist to see if maybe the appointment had gotten mixed up, because my mom was almost done and I had noticed another guest sat down with Kim. While the receptionist was sorting through things, Quanne storms over to interject and was SO rude. I tried to calmly explain what was going on, and she proceeded to blame my mother for not specifically saying that my dip manicure that she checked me in for was supposed to be with Kim, and that somehow warranted no one being able to do my nails at all? Blaming a new customer for her own poor organization made me extremely uncomfortable. I tried to explain had made appointments, one specifically with Kim, but that it was no problem and offered to come another day. She holds the book up and continues to point at our appointments that were written in like I'm some sort of idiot but confirming that I did, in fact, make the appointments, and my dip was with Kim? Then proceeds to scoff and say "Well everybody makes appointments". Was not at all apologetic or attempting to correct it in any way and walked away mid-interaction. The receptionist was the only professional one, was extremely apologetic and tried to be as accommodating as possible. While this is all going on, the woman doing my moms nails finished and immediately told her to "get up" but didn't tell her where to go (it was her first time there) or help her with any of her stuff when she had wet nails and I was over trying to sort out my situation. I ended up not being offered to have my nails done at all. We tipped both of our technicians 20%, and left.

I will absolutely never go back, and will be returning to the nail salon I've been going to for years now that's a bit farther away. The owner does my nails, and made a huge deal about another friend of mine's nails when we went to get them done right before her wedding, taking group pictures, and even giving her a gift card as an early wedding gift. You can't beat quality work and an owner that genuinely cares about...

The most dissapointing place I have visited. My girlfriends and I decided to go on a spa day together after a long day at work and we decided to visit this establishment, when we got there we were greated and asked to sign our names with the service we wanted, we did and the receptionist told us that the wait was around 30 min. We decided to wait since we were already there. We check with the receptionist after 40 min waiting and he promissed we would be next. After 1 hour waiting he starter to ignore us walking around the salon like a chicken without head not knowing what to do. One hour and a half later he finally sat us and kind of prepared everything , leaving us soaking our feet in warm water for another 30 min. Anyway we were having a good time chatting that even tho the wait was beyond ridiculous we decided to stay. We got our pedicures and we were now waiting for manicures, they made us wait another 45 min or so and NO ONE EVEN MOVED to provide the service. At that point we were DONE with the lack of hospitality and service that we decided to leave. We went to desk and I mentioned the owner/manager/supervisor/whatever he was that they should provide us with a discount since they made us wait more than 2 hours. This individual as soon as those words left my mouth lost his shit (as a customer I have all the right to complain if I am not happy with the sevice) he started SCREAMING "We dont do that " demanded payment right away , we provided credit cards astonished of his behaviour and he had the nerve after all that to THROW our credit cards at us. I would have never imagine such attitute, words were exchanged of course since at that point we were mad of his way of treating us raising his voice and disrespecting us in such a way. PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT VISIT ...

I had a 10 o’clock am appointment that I called at 9:24 to ask if I could come later and they changed it to 12 I called back three minutes later and said that I no longer needed to change the appointment and the girl who answered said it was ok and I could still do 10 am. I drove all the way over there with my niece and when I got there the owner the gentleman at the counter was super rude would not let me speak and told me I don’t care what they told you I’m the owner and we already changed your appointment. His tone ans demeanor was so inappropriate. I tried to explain to him that I spoke to somebody and they said it was OK to come in at 10 and that I called a couple min after and he wouldn’t let me speak he just said he didn’t care and that i’m coming back at 12 or I won’t be getting it done because he already gave the spot to somebody else. I said May I please speak and he loudly said no! The point that I was trying to explain to him was that the lady who answered the phone only a few minutes after I called the first time said it was OK to come in at 10! They should not allow people to answer the phone if they’re not able to give the proper appointment time to people! I drove all the way over there only to be talked to in a very rude manner in front of my little niece! She’s only eight and she was mortified and couldn’t believe how rude he was. I will never use this place again. Many bad experiences here but chose to go because it was close to my house one being that they get clearly very agitated and annoyed that my hands are stiff due to arthritis they make it very known to me and make me super uncomfortable while getting my nails done it’s not something I can control and I explain that to them. This was last drawl I will take my $200 a month...
