Goodwill Central Texas - Bastrop — Attraction in Bastrop

Replying to GW reply. This was the 3rd retry that I gave y'all. So unfortunately you've lost a customer that was pretty regular at that. Also I have a huge problem with the fact you guys stop doing the tag color discount on Thursdays. Because so many people that really need those discounts are working during the week & can't make it before y'all close. Which causes them to either have to go w/o, get less then is needed & or spend more then they can afford! My other big problem with this GW location is whoever is in charge of pricing thinks y'all items must be special & the best of the best. The items are way over priced & worst of all I've seen items with the org. tags priced much lower then y'all's price. When it brought to someones attention all that is said is sorry we have to go with our pricing. Also pricing on certain brands for example that are found at Dollar General are priced higher then what one can purchase it BN at the org. location. Which IMO is complete B.S. I thought y'all's objective was to "enhance the dignity & quality of life of individuals & families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity and helping people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work." So with the discount being taken away on the weekends and such I personally believe that it is not eliminating barriers or and it's preventing the opportunity to help people in need...

This store is the most horrible store I've ever been in. Never in my life have I had people follow me around and look at me like a criminal all because I have a large purse. That would be like me looking at the employee that started all of it and telling her you're missing half your teeth are you on drugs? And when I called to talk to a supervisor because the more I thought about it the madder I got they hung up on me. They had said that it was because when I came through the line I put my basket down and didn't buy anything. But you are damn right I did not buy anything after being treated like that. I would have been more than happy to BUY the items I had in my basket had they not treated me like that. I will be calling headquarters on them. They judged me and assume because of the size of my purse that I am a criminal. I wonder how they would like to be judged and accused of being on drugs because of the missing teeth? No one but God has the right to judged and y'all are not God. You can ask around, I'm actually a good person WITH A JOB and pay...

I've been shopping at Goodwill for over 25 years now. I've also donated thousand upon thousand of dollars (no exaggeration) This is by far the most outrageously over-priced store I've ever come across. I've been to some locations that are somewhat more, but this was shockingly ridiculous. They had a coat priced at $90.00, jeans for $19.99, tank tops for $12.99. A purse for $45.00. Typically when Goodwill comes across an item, like a purse that is a name brand, they will list it as an auction item. The prices are comparable to Buffalo Exchange, or other higher end thrift stores in Austin, but actually somewhat higher. I've never felt a desire to rate an establishment before, but this store needs to be reviewed by corporate or higher management. I spoke to 2 employees there who both said they get a lot of complaints about the prices. This is not the 'Goodwill' this store is supposed to be standing behind. The one star is only for the polite staff and cleanliness...
