So, long story if you care for the details, read to the end, but I want to give praise to Makayla. I came in with DAMAGED hair. She took time to consult over two appointments and provided me with direction, which I then researched and understood she was completely on point with everything she prescribed. After having trust failed at a prior salon in Bastrop (recently closed, I'll just leave that there) Makayla transformed my dead locks into something I can feel great about and have a path I'm confident in to restore my hair. I love the color she provided to match back to my natural, while giving dimension. The products she suggested have been a great investment given my disastrous presentation. Some back story, I have never had permeate color and recently decide to get highlights. I'm a brunette and wanted something subtle, but fun. What I got was nearly blood all over. Within 10 days most of my hair broke to my jawline. I had told the stylist (at the now closed location) that my hair is fine, prone to damage and I wash nearly daily as I play tennis, swim, workout daily. She over processed my hair and had to then cut what was shoulder length hair to a short bob with bangs. Over half the volume was gone. Where do I even begin!? I had literally just got my hair colored (pic on left) at a salon and walked out so disappointed! I was then referred to His and Hers Barbershop Salon and had a consultation with Tiffany and Izzy. We came up with a game plan to fix the disaster and instantly I felt relieved that I found colorist that were knowledgeable and experienced! I went in for my color correction today with Izzy and I’m so in love with how my hair turned out! She did an AMAZING job and brought my hair back to life! Izzy was super friendly, attentive, and is extremely talented. Let’s just say they gained 2 loyal clients because the barbers there were awesome and my fiancé will be making his appointment soon! What a Fantastic salon/shop for men and women! Highly recommend!...

The three stars are for the mere fact that this establishment promotes walks-ins and appointments, but of the three times I’ve been here, I’ve been serviced only once and even then it was an OK cut, but the lady tried.

The other times I’ve sat for 15 min and then given a business card and told to make an appointment so my haircut is guaranteed. A few months pass and I decided to try again (support local businesses) also because my gym is next door. Lo and behold I take 6 steps and was given a business card before I sat down and told to make an appointment.
