Beware!!! I purchase a $375 party package for my child birthday party. My party initially check in was a huge disaster the systems weren't working so I had to do new waivers on all of my 15+ guest while the touchscreen computer keep blacking out. Once every waiver was completed our host left our party to have a side conversation with her fellow friends. After our party waited for her return which she didn't return to give us further instructions I walked over to her and interrupted her group chat so she could come back to help assist with our party. The host then informed me that the party was still been prepared and we would have to wait. Our party waited 30 more minutes until I went and found another employee to assist. We were promised additional jump time due to the original host not informing us on the details of where to go, what to do, etc of the $375 birthday party. Finally after an hour passed my party finally was able to have they own area to jump. I left the building approximately 15 mins to move my vehicle to a closer location in the parking lot to have to return with angry parents from my party informing me we had been kicked out of the area even though we were the last party and we missed almost an hour of our jump time and feeling very confused and frustrated due to the lack of organization. I requested for a manager with 15mins remaining and over the intercom I finally had an accounment to inform the location of where my party would be held. I located the area and nothing was set up my party favorites were missing later to be found on the floor and nothing was set up and prepared. The kids at the party were hungry and thirsty and we had to wait while different members from the staff rushed to throw things together. After the party ended I apologize to my guest and spoke with the manager. The manager offered (3) 30 minutes pass which I declined. Then explained the events to a second manager who stated he had to call the General Manager. After he returned he then told me that I was entitled to a 10% return ( $30 odd dollars.) I declined again and after returning again he informed me the cap would be $75. I was totally taken aback while trying to maintain my composure after paying Sky Zone over $375 and the party wasnt organized and a total disaster. Finally, the manager told me the General Manager would contact me and took my information to forward. I then looked up to read on the display on the wall to see the many items and services of the party we didn't receive such as my child's birthday shirt and etc. Still remaining calm and bidding my farewells to my guest my children which were boys while putting on their shoes the employee helping me escort my child birthday presents to my vechile stated the police was outside or from his ear piece. I don't know why they were called due to the location closed around 12 pm and everyone was calm. Upon exiting the building and after loading my vechile with many gifts and entering my at the police zooms off . I stop the first manager who was parked next to me and asked him thru my window why were the police called ? He responded the police was a regular who drops her child off here and she was picking him up . What??? In a police car and the devastating fact that since the police was a regular the police didn't know where the exits were having to turn around twice from to dead ends in the parking lot. But the police was a REGULAR???! I am totally embarrassed, frustrated, and angry to have encountered this event. We were regular customers and had attended a few party before at that location we were excited to host a party. But to be treated like how my party and family received is totally unheard of......
Read moreI would never recommend this place for a party. The whole system was disorganized from the beginning. We purchased the Basic Party Package with instructions that someone would call us during the week of the party to go over details. A couple of days into that week I had not heard from anyone so I called myself to finalize the plans. We were going over the package and the woman over the phone did mention that we’d have to pay $50 to bring in outside food based off of our package but basic utensils, cups, plates, napkins and water was included. I asked about the other packages to make sure I was choosing the correct one and she advised me based off of our needs that we keep the current package we had purchased. The day of the party someone finally reached out to me leaving a message saying once again there would be an additional charge for outside food but never mentioned anything about the water. So I assumed it was included as I was once told. We arrive for the party and no one is really there to instruct us the overview of the event. There was no point person through out the event helping us. When our guests arrived I had to stand there and advise them on what to do. I had to advise them to scan the code so the party guests could get checked in to jump. No one was there to greet anyone. This was a Friday night and the venue was practically empty. Throughout the event we had to hunt staff members down to answer questions. When we arrived, no one even told us which party room we would be entering. We had to find out based off of searching ourselves with our own items that we brought such as the cake band I’ve chest. At a certain point the kids were hungry and I simply asked if they could eat first and continue jumping after. They did let me know that it’s not normally how they ran things but since they were so slow they would make an exception. We move into the room at this point. Start eating. I had to put gloves on and serve the guests myself. When asked about the waters we were told that water didn’t come with it and we would be charged $40 for 10 waters. Once we finished eating the kids proceeded to jump. They were immediately stopped by staff members telling them that they couldn’t jump and went as far as grabbing arms and cutting wrist bands off. The lines had been overly crossed at this point. We asked to speak to a manager about it all. He was no help to us whatsoever. When asked about the miscommunication, told about how unorganized everything and crossing the line of the staff members grabbing the hands of the children and cutting the wrist bands he said he had been working there for 30 years and had we purchased the most expensive package we would have gotten better service. Which we were once again advised by corporate to keep the current package we had already purchased. I checked and Sky Zone has only been in business for 20 years. The manager wand the stuff we’re no help whatsoever throughout the party. I have worked in the service industry for 25 years myself and have never seen such a circus of unprofessionalism in my life. The quote on the website says “None of the Hassle” and “Skip The Party Go To The Fun” could have been more further from the truth. I’ve had parties elsewhere and been to parties elsewhere and never have I seen such a spectacle. Save your time, money, energy and go have a better...
Read moreWorst Birthday Party Experience in Baton Rouge. I have 3 children and have had parties at Area 51, Party Playground, Lindsey's Bouncing Tigers, Jump N Jive, USS Kidd, Zoo, etc etc. This was by far the most expensive birthday party ($630) and the most unorganized one of the bunch. I didn't even get to enjoy my child because I was dealing with the absolute mess that was check in and cleaning up trash etc when he was opening presents. (1) Check in - There is a separate check in for birthday parties which is a fantastic idea BUT... I stood at check in for 45 minutes and then entire time there was between 4 and 6 employees behind the counter. 1 or sometimes 2 were working and the other 4 or so were literally "hanging out" and talking. I took a great pic to post on my FB page. Flip over there:). You did not have to be specially trained to see that there is a line of 20 people (all holding presents and myself holding a very awkwardly sized cake) to instruct them to put them in the bins and sign the waiver at the computer. When I asked where I could set down the cake so it wouldn't get smashed, I got a smart look and they told me on the counter. 5 minutes later they had a non-employee (friend) behind the counter who took her purse, plopped it down on my cake and began rummaging through it. When I walked up and said something, neither she nor the 6 employees behind the counter moved the cake, apologized or anything. There will children coming up and rummaging through the cart where they had us place presents and envelopes. I had to stop a child from taking one of the envelopes off of our cart. Again, multiple employees standing right there who were too busy socializing to even notice much less care. (2) The jump time - I was never informed of our "party schedule" but we were still standing there after our party was already to have started. I finally raised enough of a scene where they started our party instead of having us just stand there. The kids lost jump time as they made them leave the private jump area on schedule for another party. Other than that the jump experience was okay. It was very crowded and not nearly as good as Area 51 but we knew that before we booked the party so... (3) The party room - This is where sky zone really drops the ball. The party room is not set up well. For a large party of 25 children there is only one host. There is no "chair" or place for child to open gifts except at the table with all of the food. There is one small trash can 30 feet away. I asked for an extra garbage bag for trash and one for gifts (which is what is done at every other party place) and was told no. I had to try and hand him a gift, make my way through the crowd of children and parents who had no other place to go and run all the way over throw the trash away and run back in time to see him open another gift. It took any enjoyment of seeing your child at his birthday party away. Then, to leave, you have to carry each little small item down the stairs and go load in your car because no trash bag or anything...
