I have been customer for years and when we went back because I am in chapter 13 bankruptcy they couldn’t rent to me but my son put it in his name we were told we have to have easy pay but if there is a problem to call and can work with us....my sons father has been in and out of hospital and his income was less because of this and when we called it was like we were asking for them to make payment all we wanted was to extend the pay by like 6 days. We finally had to pay like 20 some dollars for extension.when went in to pay ask about removing auto pay was told that if I did that I have to return my rental.... Not sure what or how policies are made but where is it set in stone that have to have Auto Pay????? I do know that I will get this contract finished and Rent a center here I come no more arrons for me...also my daughter and her husband went in and want to lease an apple Product and was told they don’t rent this to first time customer. Read moreI recently leased this very small dryer from Aaron’s that does not even work well. I am being over charged for this thing as it is and they are now trying to tell me that if I cancel my club membership that we did not ask for which happens to be optional, for $10 that the price of the dryer will remain the same!!! My monthly payment was $55.97 from day one and somehow the next month jumped to $66.30. If you take that $9.99 membership off it should be cheaper but not according to them. These people are a rip off and looking to make a buck anyway they can even if it’s ripping off their customers. Read moreI have multiple sclerosis and their Accounts Manager Chris still choose to speak to me in a manner I couldn't understand. When I politely stated my condition and the difficulty I had understanding him he said call back another day and hung up in my face. I've been doing business with them less than 30 days just needed a simple adjustment to my rental but the accounts manager failed on the level of respect.
Update Yes the day I posted this review I called and put in a complaint to corporate. I also called Rent A Center to explain what I needed. They actually listened and RESPECTED ME. As another reviewer stated I do believe Chris (accounts manager) and Courtney (sales associate) are either relatives or significant others. They have each other's...
