Rent-A-Center — Attraction in Battle Creek

Rent a Center on Columbia ave is awesome! We were stuck sleeping on a bed too small for us and our dog and I didn’t have $1000 up front to buy a new king size. Coltin Tuttle, an employee there helped us find the best match for our family! I was set up on a payment plan I could actually afford and he answered every question I had! When it came time to sign agreements, he made sure i understood everything i was agreeing too and went through the whole packet with me to be sure i knew what i was signing. He delivered AND set up my bed, for free. He made sure I knew exactly how my frame worked and said if I had any questions I could call and ask for him. I’ve called a couple times and was always greeted with a friendly “how are you and how can I help you?” I notice on the reviews here it seems like a lot of people have had problems, the only way an issue would arise is if you don’t pay your bill on time. I pay on time, every time and have never once had a problem. I know I will be buying more from them in the future. I would 10 out of 10 recommend Rent-A-Center on Columbia ave and make sure you...

I am being very generous by giving this place a 2 star rating, but the representative that first convinced me to buy from this place was very nice so im giving him some respect. I had been a very faithful renter of a washer n dryer for over 3 years and used the capital location for our church anniversary. I was never late for a payment in over 2 and 1/2 years so i had a proven record. One day i was late only one day and i got a rude call from the rep talking about that im late and need to pay. I let them know its only one day and i had a work schedule that was pretty busy at the time. So i asked him, dont you have a grace period and he said another rude comment. I was shocked at the type of treatment i received especially given the expensive prices this place has. I thought customer service should be great at a place that charges as much as they do but i guess i was wrong. When i made my last payment, they were cold and un unappreciative. My husband and I recently went to the local Rent A Center in Battle Creek, MI and I have to say that we are so dissatisfied. They have really nice well mannered customer service, however, they are rude and non-understanding of any situation that may arise. They are not willing to work with their customers with anything such as setting payments according to your pay dates and extending a payment out if need be for whatever reason. We rented a simple cheap washer (no dryer) so the payment was 20.00 a week. well something came up and we were unable to get there to make the payment and they hit us with late fees and was so very non- understanding.
