A good movie about Earth in the Land at EPCOT This pavilion or area is inside Disney’s EPCOT theme park so you need tickets for the park to get to it. It is located in The Land which is to the right as you enter the park or to the west of Spaceship Earth. The Land has a lot of items for the visitors coming to the park. It has a good-sized food court, a boat ride, Soaring, a sit-down restaurant, and the Harvest Theater. You enter onto the second level that contains the Harvest Theater to the right and the restaurant slightly to the left. The other attractions are below you as you enter. I have experienced each of these parts of this pavilion. They are all enjoyable. I decided to try the Harvest Theater. I have not been inside this part for several years. This is a large Theater that has shown different short films featuring our planet over the years since its opening. It showed a show called Symbiosis from 1982 until 1995, an 18-minute film that explored technological progress in the environment and the partnership between people and the land. This film was replaced in 1995 by one called Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable starring Lion King's Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba. This 20-minute film showed many of the dangers facing the environment and the responsibility people have to take to preserve the land. The latest film is called The Awesome Planet which I thought was very well done. It shows Earth and its various biomes. It discussed its great points and its challenges and gave suggestions on how to help. I enjoyed it very much and hope others will...
Read moreWe went to see what this was all about, as it had replaced a previous feature there. We did not know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. This experience consisted of a very well done and pointy documentary from a unique perspective of a realtor. Imagine someone going over the history of our planet and trying to sell us on living here. The documentary was entertaining, informative and a little preachy overall. It isn't very long and is worth the time. We were waiting for our restaurant reservation at the Garden Grill and this was a good way to pass some time plus it is right next door to the restaurant. There is a huge waiting area before you enter the theater. Once insde the theater you will find seats that are comfortable and that offer a good view of the screen. This is also a good place to wait out rainy weather or to cool down from the Florida heat. The theater has good air...
Read moreIt wasn't on our list of "must dos at Epcot" but the wait was so short, we'd done everything we wanted to do that we could've done and said why not. It was a great movie to relax our toddler and ourselves really. The heat and running around all day takes a toll and this was a nice place to stop before getting ready to head out. There weren't that many people so it made it more appealing. The building was a little confusing, though I'm not sure that wasn't just people walking around in circles. I don't think our toddler was paying too close attention, but she was too tired to care and it was nice to tone...
