Growing up with Dreamfinder & Figment and Captain EO, this pavilion was a "must-do" with my family.
But ever since Disney redesigned the pavilion in the mid-90s with attractions like "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" and the remakes of the ride "Journey Into Imagination" it has received less TLC.
Nothing was wrong with "Honey I Shrunk The Audience" and I don't know why Disney closed it. Probably didn't want to pay royalties.
Now we are left with a ride with Figment with too much sugar in his system (more hyper than his days when he was with Dreamfinder), Imageworks which is upstairs featuring exhibits focusing on creativity, and an attraction featuring Pixar shorts.
Nothing against Pixar, but in my opinion, with Disney now controlling most of the Lucasfilm productions nowadays it would be better if Disney re-released Captain EO with updated computer graphics and theater effects.
I don't recommend Fastpass for this attraction. But if you have children in your family or group, they will love it. And it is a nice break from the Florida heat and humidity and occasional rainstorms.

We took a themed photo and the photographer was SO KIND, even retaking the shot (there was no line just so you know). The instrument section where you hop on a different tile and it produces the noise of a different instrument was so fun!
We walked around and rode the ride, which I thought was a little trippy but she and my husband LOVED it! We should've done the ride first (but at the time the wait was ridiculous) because what ended up happening was she fell in love with the area that's after the ride, and when we went on the ride she just wanted to play with that...
Read moreI've never been able to get fully in sync with this version of the ride, loved the original, but the grandkids love it all the same.
The pavilion sports some great bathroom space. There are also some fountains and a fun Pixar film set (AC & no wait make this a winner on hot afternoons).
They just brought the Figment meet and great back as well. The ride is slow and does go dark and blows some air, so it can startle little ones, but our 1.5 & 3 YO...
