Alice Moseley Folk Art Museum — Attraction in Bay Saint Louis

It's on the 2nd Floor. It was nice. Had been wanting to go since I moved to Waveland 5 years ago, wife and I, along with a granddaughter, finally made it!!! The artist, Alice Mosley, was a prolific and well known ( locally as well as nationally ) painter. It's especially amazing since she passed away at 94 in 2004, but didn't start painting until the age of 55!!!

They also have on the 1st/main floor, a cute little Mardi Gras costume display along with several collectable model trains on display - after all, it IS all on display in the old Train Station in Bay St....

Small but very nice art museum. Great collection off Alice Mosley's work and her story. The lady at the front desk of the museum was very welcoming and helpful.

It is upstairs in the building, and a little difficult to find. Don't go towards the end of the day - we came down the elevator to find the welcome center door locked (an hour before closing) and we had to find an exit through the staff door. Never knew an art gallery could be so fun. I was so impressed not only with the art, but the artist aswell. She was such an influence to her students from the 50's-70's, but a huge inspiration to anyone can start to paint.
