Be careful with the loyalty program. I received a text today, while at work, that I had just earned points. I called to find out how and was brushed off by the person who answered the phone. “Someone probably just used your phone number”. No one knows my phone number here. Which I tried to tell her.. but she was clearly busy. So I did my own investigation and found a card that was not mine linked to my account. When I called back to have my account deleted, per the directions from square, the manager first told me I’d have to contact Square, indicating they don’t even know how to use it, if adding random people to other peoples’ accounts wasn’t indication enough. She also told me she was “sorry I felt that way”, when informing her of the previous “help” brushing me off. I understand y’all are busy, but messing with peoples’ financial information and then acting like they’re inconveniencing you? When they have to stop work to deal with YOUR mistake? And not even acknowledging said mistake? “I’m sorry you feel that way” is patronizing and rude when you’re being given facts. Not cool. Especially when I know any of you could have checked yourselves and told me what happened instead of guessing. Won’t be back. Wasn’t even there today. I was terribly inconvenienced and missed some of my job today due to having to deal with this and making sure my information wasn’t compromised all without setting foot in your restaurant and without so much as an explanation. I had to take time out of my day to track it down myself.

Edit to respond: I was given NONE of that information on the phone or we wouldn’t be here now. And I spoke to two different people. I was told “someone probably just used your phone number” as mentioned above, and nothing else. Unless you count you confirming that there was, in fact, a transaction. If someone had taken the time to explain it to me, you wouldn’t have a bad review, and wouldn’t have lost a customer. (Not that you care, I’m sure) It wasn’t the mistake; it was how it managed. And also, that’s simply not true. I could see four credit cards linked to my account, three of them being mine. So it does, in fact, store financial info. Whether or not anyone can access that info, I do not know, but it IS there. Thank you for reinforcing that you did not listen to a single word I said. And. I called y’all TWICE trying to figure out what happened. Hence the alternate means of communication. You were both less than helpful. To...

The atmosphere was amazing! Nice artwork and great outdoor seating. The line was out the door, and it took 5 times longer to order than to get the food. (25 min to order; 5 min to get food)

I first thought it would be better for the person at the cash register to just ring uo everyone in line while 2 other people made drinks, but I now see that it would result in people getting their food before they got their drinks, especially with complicated drink orders.

We just had oj and chocolate milk. Unfortunately the overpriced orange juice is FROM CONCENTRATE! It tastes like when you brush your teeth right before you drink orange juice. I thought it might've been fresh-squeezed or organic based on the atmosphere, but skimping on REAL orange juice to sell frozen concentrate orange juice is a disaster for a breakfast restaurant, especially when you are charging that much for it.

The personal the counter said is what not from concentrate, but the gallon of orange juice says FROM CONCENTRATE right on the jug. I hate being lied to and dismissed.

Other than that, the staff was very friendly and courteous. They don't have waiters or waitresses. It's just counter service, and they bring out the food.

The hasbrowns were a little salty and the herby mix may throw someone off if they are looking for plain potatoes. My dad didn't care for it, but I thought it tasted fine, just a little too salty. The breakfast burrito was good. The quinoa bowl was great, except I wished they had tore the kale into bite sized pieces. It's hard to cut kale with a butter knife, and when your fork brings up a piece as huge as 1/4 of the bowl, it spills all the stuff on top all over the place, and it's too big to eat. It did have great flavor, though. And the white balsamic...

Sooo disappointed with today’s visit and I’m now firm in my decision to never tip prior to getting my meal. Tips should be based on service right?!?! There is a tip jar —-wait and use cash at the end of your visit. I gave 20% upfront in good faith Don’t be pressured when they spin the options to you for 15-20- or 25%

We drove out of the way to try “the bird”

We ordered our food patiently waited for my Au Lait which was good but loooong gone before food came. Then we walked around and worked our way to an outside table. Stayed there for a bit and then decided to go in due to the flies others were shooing away lol

We sat at the closet table to the register and waited. Finally after deciding 45 minutes was waaay to long to be patient I went up to the counter. Politely said just making sure we didn’t get missed. She abruptly said NO there was a large order before mine Perception is important in customer service. I perceived that she didn’t care about me or my business

When they brought our food I was really looking forward to the chicken and waffles which I have never had anywhere BUT that same lady told me earlier they were WONDERFUL. Well mine were burned around the edges and to hard to cut. I tried biting it but that was not going to work and the bite I took was horrible Chicken overcooked as well

I had read the note on the table that asked me to “bus” my table before leaving….. well I don’t work there and was weak from no food by noon. And did give 20% for something….

Hubby hamburger was ok. Nothing bad or good to say about that

Sorry won’t be back anytime soon

PS Hope owner takes this info and can resolve problems and service for...

3 out of 5 stars Visited for breakfast – mixed experience, but solid atmosphere Came by Mockingbird Cafe the other morning and ordered quite a bit of food (about four meals’ worth) because I’m a foodie and like trying a variety of items in one go. The wait time was about 15 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all considering the amount I ordered. Overall, the food was okay — not bad, but not particularly memorable either. The burger was probably the best thing I tried. The fries were decent, the chips were solid, and the biscuits and gravy didn’t really stand out. The hash brown bowl was something I wouldn’t order again, not because it was terrible, just because it didn’t hit any high notes. What I did really enjoy was the environment. The outdoor seating was peaceful and the furniture wasn’t uncomfortable. It’s a good spot to meet up for a laid-back breakfast or lunch. I also appreciated what looked like a dedicated pet-friendly area, which is a nice touch if you’re bringing your dog along. Staff were super friendly and helpful, which goes a long way. Parking was a little frustrating, but that’s pretty standard for downtown in this area. All in all, I’m giving it 3 stars. That’s not a knock — I’m just a pretty strict reviewer. I wasn’t blown away, but I also wasn’t disappointed. It’s a decent local spot and worth trying if you’re in the area and want a casual meal with a relaxing vibe. Check out my other reviews if you’re looking for places that really wowed me.

Comfortable Locale, Mixed Service Experience Mockingbird Cafe in Bay St. Louis offers a cheerful, local-favorite vibe that captures the essence of a small-town gathering spot. The cafe is generally buzzing with a friendly atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot for a casual meal. On the food front, the dishes are commendable. The biscuit with gravy and chicken was hearty and satisfying, the avocado toast topped with a fried egg was prepared well, and the Wonderland salad was fresh and flavorful. Each dish was prepared with care and contributed to a very good dining experience. However, I found the service setup less than ideal for my preferences, especially during the weekend. The need to order at the counter, which had a lengthy 25-minute line, detracted from the relaxed weekend breakfast experience I was looking forward to. During weekdays, the requirement to order via web or phone also detracts from the traditional dining experience where one can disconnect from the devices for an hour and can order directly from a human being. Overall, Mockingbird Cafe is a charming spot worth visiting for its quality food and warm ambiance, though be prepared for a less conventional service method that may not appeal to everyone.

Decided to check out Mockingbird Café in old town Bay St. Louis and I’m glad I did. The ambience is very nice. It is in an old house with a wraparound porch. You can sit out front of the restaurant or you can sit on the side of the restaurant, surrounded by green foliage and plants or you can dine inside if you wish. They have a lot to offer breakfast and brunch. The barista was constantly busy as they offer all types of coffee creations. They also offer spirits in your coffee something for everyone. They have an à la cart menu, breakfast and sandwiches. Their menu is actually very diverse, but it is not too busy. They also offer children’s 12 and under menu which is awesome, and of course their specialty items. Today they even offered the soup of the day was chicken and sausage gumbo. I was tempted to try it, but leave that for another visit. I decided to try the second street sandwich for breakfast which it was awesome! Ingredients were fresh and tasty although it is big enough that you could probably share… considering I took half home. The ambience of the whole café is nothing but positive and very welcoming. If you’re over in old town Bay St. Louis, you should check them out definitely a great place!
