TBT Butcher Shop Depot District Deli — Attraction in Bay Saint Louis

I had a great experience at this spot! The smashburgers are excellent—juicy, flavorful, and well-executed. The fries were also solid, making for a great meal overall.

The wait time for a burger was a little on the longer side, but not unreasonable, and I didn’t mind since the quality of the food made up for it. Prices are a bit high, but given the quality, I’d say it’s worth it.

One small thing—I felt a little out of place when getting my drink, almost like I was stepping into their storage area. It wasn’t a big deal, but it did feel a bit awkward.

A highlight of my visit was discovering the backyard area. The general manager recommended checking it out, and I’m so glad I did. It’s an absolute oasis back there, easily a 5/5 atmosphere. I walked in today, first time there, just hoping for a sandwhich to go and a young strawberry blonde girl was ready to take my order, perfect,,,,then another employee,,,, manager???,,tatooed white gal not too feminine tromped toward us waving her hands at me and the young gal like a nut and repeatedly said ",,,,we're not taking any more orders,,, until we catch up!" I said to her it's a sandwhich to go and she just didn't care and was hostile. The young gal at the register was mortified. Myself being from a long time customer service background just want that lady to know that the appropriate thing is to say something like, "I'm sorry, we have a 45 min. wait time for a ham sandwich right now". I love the building, I love the setup, and I love how they have designed the beer garden in the back. I love how they offer a different way of dining with the butcher shop attached. There are many positives here. The location is great, and the parking is plentiful, but I am, and this is just me, because so many really enjoy this place.
