Emma's Earth Shop — Attraction in Beaufort

We usually take a horse drawn tour when we go on vacation but thought it might be a nice change to do a golf cart tour which I have never seen on our other vacations. Glad we chose Emma's. The tour was very informative and it was nice to get a closer look at many of the historic areas in town. Convenient location right downtown with plenty of parking next door at the marina or next to her shop. But the real gem of these tours is Emma who owns the Earth Shop and started the tours. We booked our tour in advance and she made a point to tell us (and the other walk in customers) that we were supposed to sit up front behind the driver as a bonus for prebooking. When our tour loaded the other group went ahead and sat in the two front rows and since we're not the fussy type we just loaded up in the back. When I stopped and bought a few items after the tour she made a point to ask me about the seating and when she found out we didn't get our preferred seating she apologized and gave me a discount on my merchandise. Neither the apology or discount were necessary as it wasn't a big inconvenience and was certainly not her fault but I was very impressed that she offered them. We were visiting Beaufort for a day and decided the best way to learn about it was to take a tour and the golf cart tour seemed like a great way to do it on a beautiful, sunny, October day.

We booked through Emma’s Earth Shop and Rick was our driver and guide. We could not have been blessed with a better guide. Rick’s knowledge of the local area, its history, the people, the flora and fauna, etc., was top notch. He is clearly very passionate about sharing his knowledge and we were willing recipients. Thank you Rick and Emma’s for the perfect introduction to your idyllic setting. 5 stars

In addition, when we asked for a vegetarian and gluten free option for lunch Rich pointed us to the Herban Market and Cafe. We loved our lunch there, it was perfect. They also had some selections...

Rick from Emma's golf cart tours took us out on October 29 - just my sister in law and myself and it was the best tour we have had in a long time. He was filled with history and knows so much about Beaufort. He gave us ideas on what movies to watch that had Beaufort history in them and where to go eat in Beaufort - couldn't have asked for a better guide. We have been on the other golf cart tour from the other golf cart tour company in Beaufort a few weeks ago and it was not half as great nor filled with as much history as Emmas' and Rick is a very very nice man!
