This park offers many amenities for the young, old and in between. The kiddos gate to the slides and swings squeaks VERY ANNOYINGLY loud on purpose!!! I promise you when you hear it you're gonna think why won't they get some WD 40 for this gate. But it's an effective SAFETY feature to keep the kids safely inside the play area. There's live country music at certain times. Lots of restaurants and dessert parlors to enjoy. Many places to sit and watch the lovely boats dock while enjoying your meal. There's a parking lot, plus paid parking on the streets. If you're an athlete enthusist there's a bridge close by that crosses the river. It's available to walk or run across the bridge for extreme exercise. For those that enjoy mild exercise a walk on the parks pathways while enjoying the river breeze is very relaxing. Many benches and tables are scattered here and there in the park for those that tire quickly. Plaques and statues in the park provide historical knowledge to everyone whose interested in the culture and history of the area. A day spent here in the park will be a good day for any family. Every age group will be satisfied with this park and...

I did see lots of friendly faces, a cool playground that was also gated!, ice cream shops, restaurants, coffee shops ( I forgot the name of the one I went to was but the chicken salad sandwhich was AMAZING and HUGE! They were the same coffee shop that sold tomato pie.) We loved seeing the boats and the swings to sit and watch the peaceful water :-) I didnt stick around for the September 11th remembrance but they had tea lights set up in white paper bags for it and a band was starting when we left. This place was...
Read morePros: Right on the waterfront so great place to grab coffee and walk Cute & cozy interior Friendly staff A variety of drink options They use a really espresso maker rather than a latte machine! The drinks are strong
Cons: Maybe I hit them on a bad day, but there was a significant number of ground up beans in the bottom of my drink. The barista caught that the first time and remade it, but the second had the same issue. And so did my friend's :( The ice is added to the ice latte while it's still hot so it melts quickly. Also, they use very small ice cubes (like Zaxby's size) which increases the surface area of the ice which also leads to faster melting resulting in quickly watered...
