I made sure to document as we were going… we’ve had an igloo rented for several weeks now from 3:45-5:45. We showed up at 3:40 and were told to seat ourselves in an empty igloo. It took 15 minutes for a server to even come into our igloo and acknowledge us. 6 cups were provided on the table for a party of 8. After 20 minutes had passed, I started taking pictures to document with timestamps. We sat at 3:45. We got water after about 20 minutes. We didn’t get our ordered beverages until 4:34 (per time stamp). I can’t speak on when our appetizers arrived as I forgot to snap a picture, but I’d estimate about 10 minutes after our drinks, so a full hour after we had been seated. Main courses arrived at 5:14 (again, per time stamped photo) which left just 31 minutes until the end of our reservation. When the main courses arrived, the waitress hadn’t cleared any appetizer plates from the already small table, so we had to pre-bus our own table to make room for the entrees. Again, with 31 minutes to spare until the end of our reservation. We were promptly told told leave our table at 6. Of the table of 8, 5 of us have worked for YEARS as waitresses/waiters before. We know the struggles and we are aware that people can be unreasonable and downright rude. Sometimes things are completely out of your control as a server. To their defense, they had a large party in the main dining room that apparently didn’t book ahead of time. But at some point, it’s just plain bad service. Our reservation has been in place for weeks and absolutely no accommodations (extra time, offer us a table inside after our time was up in the igloo, an offer to rebook on another date, or even level with us and advise us to sit inside because they knew their service would be abysmally slow) were offered considering they knew they’d be overwhelmed. We were clearly unhappy and told our waitress (a gal with long dark hair in braids and a crocheted headband) multiple times, so it’s not like we kept this a secret just to write a bad review when we left without giving them an opportunity to correct the experience. We were never offered any kind of comp, not even a refund on the $50 for the igloo reservation. To their credit, the food was amazing. The cocktails/wine/beer were also great. No complaints in that area. But absolutely abysmal service. I’m not sure if we will be back. We go out of our way to support local, small businesses, but this might be the exception. Very disappointed in our...

My sister and I took our mom here last night for a Mother’s Day dinner. While the food was amazing, the service was horrendous. Once we were seated we waited a while for the waitress to come and take our order for appetizers and drinks. No one could answer any questions about wine flavors. Just was told IDK our main wine connoisseur is not working tonight and the new menus don’t tell you what the flavor notes are. Once our appetizer finally came out the staff didn’t know what table to take it too and delivered it to the wrong table then continued to tell let those customers look at it on there table and talk about the item. It immediately grosses me out and didn’t even want to eat it anymore. We had to ask several times to different staff for extra side plates, silverware, and napkins. Even trying to get our waters refilled was painstaking. The main courses were delicious but at that point we just wanted out of there. When we finally asked for the check we also asked for to go boxes. The check came but no boxes. We waited for a while and finally had to go inside to check out and get someone to box up the food. The food was great but service was subpar and I was not impressed. Disappointing since we made a special trip to drive down the mountain from Johnstown to check...

first experience here was not good. we brought our baby with us for lunch and we sat in a back corner as to not disturb other customers, the woman behind the bar slightly acknowledged us but didn't bring us menus after several minutes (my partner wanted to leave at this point). we had to get up and ask for menus and water. she brought out a dirty highchair long after we had finally ordered our food. my cocktail was overwhelming of ginger. menu was small but food was OK. we figured it was because they had just opened up and were working out the kinks. waited a significant amount of time to try again. however, the second visit was equally as bad, just in a different way. waited 30 minutes for one salad, it came out overdressed and soggy which was disappointing, i didnt eat it. server was not great, overheard him complaining about other customers. I'm sure this is a good place just to get a few drinks but not impressed otherwise. except the fries! the...

Grab lunch with me in Bedford PA! On today’s menu was a fried chicken quesadilla from Bella Terra. Although I was just picking up food, Bella Terra has more to offer than quick bites. They also have a selection of wines and cocktails available.

We stopped by to try the wine sampling... So impressed by the wine tastings. We tried a Chardonnay, Lemberger, a couple Merlot's, and the Proprietor's Red. All were great wines and our hostess (Mrs. Olivia) was extremely knowledgeable on all of her wines. She was also very helpful giving us information on local dining options and her personal favorites. The winery store front is a spacious relaxing area to have a drink. Plenty of space to sit and sip or play a board game while enjoying your purchase. The winery features local artists and there artwork which adorns the walls of the establishment and is for sale too. We left with a bottle of Briar Valley's Chardonnay after our tasting and a couple glasses of Briar Valley's Reds.

Bella Terra is such a great add to downtown Bedford. With a recent change in location from a few blocks away, this business has been in town for 6 years and what a great addition. They’re great for Sunday brunch (try the breakfast burrito) with $3 Mimosas and Bellinis but also stay to enjoy the wine tasting! Inside and outside seating is great for anytime of the year. Not like some wineries with just a couple options. BT has varieties of wine, cider, and canned cocktails for the whole (adult) family. Don’t pass on the Sangria and get some to go too, and as always, tell them Drew sent you!!
