Hey H*es.....
Miss me?
I'm on a date. Wig....poppin. the girls. You know they are full and on display. Outfit. On slay as per usual..... But you aren't here for me. You want a review so here we go.
Okay so I started out with an orange juice. Yes it's fresh squeezed. Yes it's expensive ($3.69). Yes He's paying for 2 cups cuz I'm a 2 cup kinda girl.
We started with the pot roast sandwich. ($14.99) Yummy. Hot. Crispy. Cheesey. But beware... If you don't like mustard say something before they make it because it's grilled with mustard. I like mustard but I prefer it in addition to mayo not straight.
He got the two eggs and a cake meal ($10.69) with sausage. It looked great but he looked better ( unless he is cheating on me then he is trash but the plate will still be amazing). It looked like it needed seasoning but he liked it. He felt like the sausage was a lil light skinned and I agree but that is a southern thang to have a lil crisp on your sausage so maybe tell them to fry it hard because everything is cooked to order.
I got the shrimp and grits ($17.99) BECAUSE I AM A PRINCESS AND I'M EXPENSIVE. Omg salt ppl. Please. Salt. Pepper. Paprika. All the seasonings McCormicks make and y'all didn't use NONE OF 'EM ???????? Anyway. Delish but trust me I was cracking that salt over it. (btw...bad bish points to them for having the $8.99 bougie mccormick coarse salt and pepper grinders at the table...)
Overall. The bill was high ($67.00) but the breakfast was good. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
So if you are with a gentleman making a few dollars and you blessed him with that WAP, have him take you to Toasted Yolk and order like the Princess that you are. Run the tab up girl ....you earned it.
I love you gorgeous, enjoy...
Read moreI have been to toasted yolk several different locations, and I’ve typically had a good experience at all of them. I decided to try this location out because I hadn’t been and figured it would be great to sit outdoors with people at a new location. This was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. And quite frankly, I was disgusted by the response of the manager in regards to the experience. I will try to make this as short indirect as possible: We ordered coffee for the table and ask for a side of honey and oats milk, it took so long for them to bring the oat milk and honey that I had already finished intake of coffee using brown sugar. By the time I got to the bottom of the cup, I found a used sweetener wrapper in my cup. I then walked to find the manager and complained about not receiving the honey or oat milk, and finding a wrapper in my coffee and his response was “oh sorry I guess mistakes like this happen”. And instead of bringing out milk, they brought out oatmeal. My kids ordered the French toast with bacon on the kids menu and ask for a side of eggs. She was able to finish her entire order and watch the table beside us order after she was done with her French toast and bacon before they finally brought the side of eggs. We ordered another kids, French toast and bacon, more specifically we ask for a repeat order for the kids They brought out an adult version of the meal and wanted to charge us for an adult meal. My sisters food came out extremely late and she did not eat it. And I understand things happen, but my biggest disappointment is an how everything was handled once it was brought to...
Read moreI brought my family here for a post church birthday brunch on 7/28 and we had the misfortune of witnessing a disgusting display of aggression, disrespect, and unprofessionalism by the manager toward a customer. To add insult to injury the manager was a white male and the customer was a black female. I cannot speak to the details of their disagreement but nonetheless his behavior was certainly outside the code of conduct of the establishment. He was inside the restaurant, red faced, screaming nose to nose with this woman telling her to get out of his restaurant. Whatever the issue was, his irate behavior was uncalled for as a manager and as a man. Mind you this all happened inches from our table in front of my kids ages 1-17.
As if this wasn't enough the food wasn't even good. We came hungry and the menu was tantalizing but our dishes were a disappointment. I ordered the two eggs and a cake. T on a he eggs had no seasoning. I subbed the meat for an extra egg and got cheese grits. They were ok. The French toast was just wet bread. I asked for a side of the apple compote that came with the other French toast and that tasted like apple pie filling out the can. My husband got the shrimp and grits. It was ok. Pancakes were big but not tasty. Nothing was inherently BAD but for the price we paid I at least want GOOD food. 6 meals, 1 kids meal, and all waters came out to $117. The food was lackluster and overpriced. Combine that with disrespectful, ill tempered management and you see why I recommend you go anywhere else.
Pros: Our server was nice. They were able to quickly seat my family of 7 on a...
