This establishment is completely unprofessional and would benefit from new management. And this is considered their "signature club"? What a joke.

I went in a couple days ago to look around to see if this was a gym I'd like to join. First things first, the employee at the front desk was completely un-attentive; I could have walked right by no problem and worked out for as long as I'd liked, which means anyone else could too.

Next I asked to speak to a sales manager. This guy named Aaron comes out and wants to give me a tour when all I really want is to try the gym a time or two, but I get it, they kind of have to do this so I oblige. As we are walking around he starts talking to me about how I would seriously benefit from a personal trainer and a nutrition program. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime or anything, but compared to this guy (who looks like he couldn't handle the ten pound dumbbells and "diets" on ice cream and cocoa puffs) I'm doing quite alright. It was pretty insulting and even after I told him multiple times that I wasn't interested he kept pushing the issue. Whatever.. I let it slide in an attempt to get the tour over with.

The worst part of this whole ordeal came when Aaron decided he needed to pick on one of their members who was minding his own business lifting some weights. I didn't even notice the guy until the manager that was giving me the tour suddenly yelled over to him that he needed to quiet down! I couldn't believe it. He publicly humiliated this guy for absolutely no reason at all. The guy looked a little confused and I'm not even sure he knew the manager was yelling at him or if he was yelling at someone else. Then the manager, even louder than before, yells to the guy about 30 or 40 feet away that he needs to be quiet or he won't be allowed to workout there anymore! That was it for me! I had no idea I was taking a tour of Planet Fitness or whatever those places are called where an alarm literally goes off if someone makes too much noise. I told the manager Aaron that I was shocked he had made it to a management position and that I wouldn't be joining the club. The tour was over for me and I walked out. As I'm leaving Aaron yells to me that I "need them" and that I'm "not going to reach my health and fitness goals anywhere else". This coming from a guy that looks like he's never made a health or fitness goal in his life! I just continued to walk out. The most shocking thing to me is that he had yelled at a paying customer; a person that literally pays that manager's hourly wage with his membership fee. Totally unfair and wrong!

If you're looking for a place to workout in the Bellevue area, skip L.A. Fitness. Check out 24 Hour Fitness or, if you have the coin, spring for the Bellevue Athletic Club (a beautiful facility). The only reason I even thought of getting a membership at L.A. Fitness is it would be more convenient for me at certain times, but it is absolutely not worth it. I will never step foot in one of their gyms again. The gym is just alright and the staff is absolutely unprofessional, impolite, and downright rude. If anyone from corporate is reading this, I highly suggest you look at other management options because the team you have in place right now is an absolute abomination. Aaron in particular is a terrible face for your gym and an absolutely horrible, unprofessional sales manager with no integrity. I hope this is a learning experience for you and your staff because vast improvements need to be made at...

One of my worst experiences.

I signed up for free guest pass at LA finiteness Bellevue a week ago. Afterwards, I kept receiving calls and emails to ask me to come in for an appointment and try. I appreciated the caller’s hospitality and booked a yoga class at 11am, and appointment at 10:30 as the caller said he will explain to me about the guest pass and membership, show me the facility before the class. I skipped work earlier and went there at 10:30am. The person who made appointment with me did not show up. Front desk did not know what to do. I walked around and asked, then a person (later I know he is manager Jim) brought me to his table. I told him this was my first time, someone supposed to meet me to explain to me. I planned to do the yoga class. He did not explain anything, did not apology, just found my info from computer and told me to go the class. I walked around in the gym, realized I need to go back to ask which room is the yoga class. Then I walked around by myself again, then realized I need to go back to ask Jim where is the change room. I wanted to know where swim pool and sauna is, seeing his very cold and ignorant attitude, I decided to ask no more. The first experience in this LA fitness felt very bad from this interaction.

A week later, I went back for my second time to use my guest pass for a zumba class. I was told it was expired. I told them I don’t know it is expired as I have received many texts in last week to ask me to come in. I drove half hour in the dark to come. They told me either going back home or leave a google review in front of them, then they will give me a guest pass to get in. I felt so bad. First, I skipped half hour work to come for the appointment a week ago, and nobody showed me and explained to me this as promised on the phone. Second, I felt it is a scam to leave a good review to get a pass for the class. The clerk at desk kept telling me many people leaving a review in front of them for a guest pass.

The manager Jim came in and blamed on me not see him after my first class (He never told me to see him after my first class. In fact, He barely wanted to talk to me a word when I first met him). He blamed It was my fault not noticing the guest pass expiration policy (I received many texts and emails from their marketing person to ask me come in, I am really confused which day was the day I cannot come in). The manager Jim spit his mean word like ā€œif you are not happy, you can find another placeā€. There was never an apology. First time I met him, I told him this was my first time to LA fitness on guest pass, why he never explained to me this policy, and never explained to me anything about the facility either, never explained why the person did not show up for my scheduled appointment.

The management are so awful. Who knows how many 5 stars were from the kind of...

I have been an LA Fitness member for about 15 years, visited clubs in different states and this place has the worst and most unprofessional service.

Tonight I was stretching out and a young male employee walks up to a woman on a machine and starts talking with her like she's a friend. He asked her about her getting into a bikini and if she had a boyfriend. He could not have known her at all. This sexual harassment, predatory behavior seemed so natural for him.

I left the club and when I arrived it occurred to me I had forgotten my headphones. I called the location and another young man answered the phone and I asked if he could check if they were by the mats where I was stretching. He said he couldn't leave his desk for a moment to check. He said everyone else was busy but someone would check and call back in 5-10 minutes.

You guessed it. 10 minutes later I called back and and got the same young man. He said everyone was still busy. I asked if they were really busy or were they on the floor flirting with girls? He said they were "busy selling to customers but thank you.", in a belligerent tone. He said he would have someone call me back when someone had a chance to look.

Knowing there would be no help in return, I drove back down there and it took me 10 seconds to walk in the club and grab my headphones. I walked back up to the front desk. He said that the GM looked for them but he couldn't find them even though they were out in plain sight. Why didn't someone call me to update me? Why didn't someone call to ask what my headphones looked like and where I might have left them? The answer is, they just don't care or know how to care. We all know that customer service starts from the top, too. This is why I didn't mention anything to the GM.

The utter lack of service and possible lying was not a first for the LA Fitness locations in this area but this was a gross example. When I mentioned the harassment of that lady he said that the behavior was "disrespectful" but he made no effort to learn more. If no one there was capable of taking 10 seconds to walk over to see my headphones, I cannot imagine the respect and dignity of me or the women there were of any more importance.

To the young man I talked to, if you don't learn from this then look forward to a life time career of greeting people and...
