We were so excited to find out they were going to build a Texas Roadhouse here in Bellingham! We waited months remembering how delicious the food and the buns were when we lived in Houston. Are food didn't come for an hour there were six of us, and my youngest son got his food before everybody else so he sat there and ate while we watched. He said his onions over the steak were good. When our food finally got their some of it was overcooked and cold. The baked potatoes were cold we sent them back they came back barely warm. Who puts sour cream on the baked potato under the cheese none of it was melted! I don't know about you guys but I don't want sour cream on my baked potato first before butter or cheese! The stakes were salted with this seasoning that just ruined this taste of the meat! Everything was so salty it gave a lot of his heartburn! The staff was trying to make up for what happened and they gave us coupons for meals but to be honest after the way the food tasted I don't even want to use the coupon. My oldest son said the ribs were good. Now the roles are a whole different story, that was another thing we were looking forward to. Which came up to a disappointment again! They have changed how they make the rolls or what they make them with because they tasted like chemicals a roll you just really don't want. The atmosphere was way too loud you couldn't even hear one another talk. And the happy birthday stuff that was going on across the room was the problem! They were screaming and making noise on purpose I know that's what the waiters and waitresses are supposed to do but management needs to tone it down! I do enjoy the loud bar sports and happy people scene, but that was over the top. Do not plan to go back again! A true disappointment! The one in Texas was delicious you could taste the meat and it was cooked to perfection! The Rose had that delicious yeast taste and the sweet taste of real sugar not some chemical. There are chefs that want to put their special touch on food, just like the chef that decided to put his own mark on the sauce at Giuseppe's Pizza in Colorado springs. They went out of business because he wouldn't turn it back to the original, I would hate to see that happen to Texas Roadhouse after all the trouble they went through to build it so quickly! If they decided to take all that salty seasoning stuff off of everything and start making their baked potatoes right I might consider...
Read moreRecent review of recent visit: After letting Texas Roadhouse settle into their new location and develop their routine. My family and I decided to give them another chance . Wow all I can say is disappointed again. You all still haven't figured out where the volume knob is for the radio. It sucks that a customer can hardly hear the server and we feel as though they're shouting to communicate with their server. It sucks even more to spend almost 200 bucks on dinner for 4 plus a to-go order. And the food quality was marginal at best. All of the food was overly salty. Everyone had ribeyes except I had sirloin tips and again so salty I could hardly eat it and the meat had a gamey taste almost comparable to meat you and buy at the grocery store in the discount section. Three bites of my meal and I had had enough. We also found a hair in our onion blossom. As our experience before the service was awesome. Whoever is in the kitchen really needs further training and someone needs to taste test what comes out of the kitchen.
Review from few months ago: Our server Ashley was definitely on her A+ game. She was very polite and friendly and checked in on us a few times during the meal. A+ service for sure. Personally I was not a fan of the seating system where you walk in give the hostess your name sit in the waiting area for 10 or 15 minutes. Then you wait another five or so additional minutes in a busy traffic area before a second Hostess comes and seats you. I would have preferred to feel as though I was not in the server's way standing in the middle of a hallway. The decorations inside to me really didn't scream Texas or Steakhouse all I saw was a bunch of reminders to buy a gift cards...kind of tacky and overkill on the secondary marketing everywhere. For my personal taste the music was a little loud making it a little difficult to hear the server or to hear my dinner Partners conversation. Plate presentation definitely was nothing fancy. But all the food was delicious nonetheless. My only complaint with the food would be I initially had ordered sirloin tip on mashed potatoes which they were sold out of which left me scratching my head how can a steakhouse be out of sirloin tips just grabbing 8 oz sirloin steak cook it up then Cube it up plate it with the mashed potatoes and some gravy and call it a day. I will definitely be back I wish you guys weren't a 2-hour drive for me. Thank you for...
Read moreI was hungry for a steak and didn't want to cook, so I decided to try Texas Roadhouse for the first time. I was across town, so I ordered a ribeye steak, baked potato, and salad online for pick up on my way home. I was quoted a time of 6:42 p.m. When I arrived at the restaurant, I texted the app as instructed and it replied my food wasn't ready. I didn't think it was a big deal and would likely be ready soon. When it was 15 minutes past the time, I decided to go in to see if something had gone wrong. I entered the to-go area, and no one was there. I waited a few minutes and a young lady came in with a bin of packaged foods for to go orders, she organized them on the counter and walked away without making eye contact. I continued to wait until she returned in a few minutes. I spoke up and said, "Hey, my order was supposed to ready about 15 minutes ago, so I'm just checking on it." She said, "Okay, what's your name?" I told her, and mine was one of the orders sitting out. She said, "Oh, yeah, we were waiting on your salad." She was super non-chalant, but began to bag the items. She said, "Your steak and potato are here, your salad is here, and this baggie has your condiments. Your rolls aren't ready, I'll go check on them and it'll be a couple minutes." She returned and said, "Oh, well the rolls are cooking, it'll be a 20 minute wait... but you don't have to stay if you don't want to." She gave me a look that invited me to leave. I told her "Obviously. I don't have to stay, and I've already waited more than 20 minutes, so I'll be on my way." She shrugged. There was no apology, not concern, no care. Nothing. I only live five minutes away, so I got home and began to put my food on a real plate. The steak wasn't med-rare, it was medium, which isn't the end of the world, but it was also stone cold. I could heat it, but definitely didn't want it further cooked. The baked potato I unwrapped from the foil and it was warm enough... It was also coated in a layer of salt and oil that coated my hands and completed salted my plate. Every bite of my dinner was a bit salty after that. Maybe people who eat here know to leave it in the foil... but gross. I washed my hand and ate the steak and potato, which both had good flavor other than the excessive salt. My salad was fine. I'm not sure what to do with the cinnamon butter as I didn't get the rolls. Not a great first impression. Probably the...
