Welcome Road Winery Bellingham — Attraction in Bellingham

4 of us met here for a wine tasting on Friday at 430 pm. It well exceeded our expectations. Austin and his wife were so kind and attentive and made us so welcome. Welcome road has great wines mostly in the $25-30 range. The tasting room is small but comfortable. Tastings are $7 for 4 generous pours of the 6 wines available. Two whites, four reds. They have a nice cheese, jerky and cracker plate for $10. The tasting fee is waived with the purchase of a bottle of wine. I’m so thrilled that this boutique winery is right in the heart of downtown Bellingham. Every single wine is exceptionally sumptuous. The atmosphere is down to earth and the service is warm, attentive and welcoming. The price point is a bargain particularly for this high quality of wine. The customer service is less than reliable. I definitely wouldn’t have the lady that was working work for me if given the opportunity. They also used the same glass each time… Had to ask twice for each flight. And asked questions about the drinks offered and was given a short answers that the the menu had listed. …. I had to research my questions. Definitely won’t be coming back. The few people I had with me at the time… won’t be coming back...
