Storia Cucina has been our # 1 place to go since our first time walking through their doors 2 years ago. We love the warmth, friendliness, professionalism, atmosphere, vibes, all staff, and of course the food! It is our ONLY place we consider for a quick bite, long date night, family time, and celebrations. If we even consider going to another place, we end up turning around to go to Storia. It's not worth the risk going somewhere when we know Storia will never let us down. If there is a wait, it is only due to other people feeling the same love and choosing Storia over any other restaurant. It is always worth it. We have so many go to's on the menu but the specials never disappoint. I recommend mixing it up with your favorites on the main menu and adding in specials before they are gone. Besides the food, the staff are so welcoming and friendly and are a huge reason to go to Storia. Specifically Helen and Meghan! They have become a BIG part of the reason we love Storia. We are always amazed at how hard they work and what they do to deliver the best experience for every guest there. On top of how hard they work, the always take the time to say hi and catch up. We always feel like a valued guest, and that our business is highly appreciated which you can never get from a chain restaurant or anywhere else. Helen and Meghan have gone above and beyond to help create memories that we will have for a lifetime and make sure we are taken care of even if we have another waitperson! Meghan will make sure we are taken care of even if she is not there! She knows exactly what we want and how we want it. Eating out costs money, and your money should go to a small local business that appreciates you, works hard, greets you with a smile, truly cares about your experience, and has the highest quality ingredients and best tasting food at any price range. Go to Storia Cucina for any reason big or small and you will not be disappointed! Ask for Meghan and don't forget to say hi to Helen! Share your amazing experience to spread the word and support a restaurant that truly deserves the...

I had heard so much about this place and was excited to finally try it with some friends.

The atmosphere was great, and we were seated promptly. As soon as we sat down, we had maybe 30 seconds before a grumpy waitress arrived and asked for our drink orders. We asked for a minute to look over the extensive menus. She returned five minutes later to take our order.

The entree menu is very limited. You basically can choose pizza or pasta. Though it appears that if you go for bunch the menu is much more extensive

The drinks were delicious, well-priced, and brought out quickly by the bartender.

We ordered appetizers of steamer clams. They tasted okay but had very little sauce, and the clams were sandy. Additionally, they only provided two cold slices of bread. Other than delivering the entrée, the waitress never stopped to ask how the food was or if we wanted another drink.

Everyone at the table commented that the food was incredibly bland. I looked around to see if there was a salt shaker somewhere to salvage my pasta, which was supposed to be "spicy."

After sitting for a while with finished meals, waiting for the waitress, the bartender finally came from across the room and asked if we needed anything else. She was very polite and was clearly trying to cover extra tables. She gave us our check...

After sitting with my card for a while, another server walked by and said, "I can see you've been waiting here for a while. Would you like me to run this card?"

Finally paid the bill...and still never heard from the waitress again. Even though the place was not busy.

I've heard so many good things about this place that I will have to try it again, but the combination of bland food and poor service won't make me eager to return...

I’ve been here once for dinner and once for brunch, thus far. I went to dinner and while the food service was slow, the drink service wasn’t. Once the pasta came though, it was well worth the wait. I ordered the cacio e pepe and it was everything I’d ever imagined it could be. I’ve tried to make this dish over and over and it’s never been great. But this was great. So cheesy and creamy, with the pepper flavor really standing out. Truly a wonderful dinner service with delicious pasta and plenty of wine.

The brunch menu lists carbonara as an option. I went because of this because carbonara is my favorite. The carbonara lists pancetta (for sure), caramelized onions (well, onions for sure not caramelized at all), farm egg (a fried egg placed on top), and Parmesan (cheese!). So I’m like pretty sure this is just the cacio e pepe from dinner service with pancetta added and a fried egg on top. Does it make it more of a “brunch” dish? Sure. Is it carbonara, no. I ate that same dish twice, which again was delicious and like some of the BEST pasta in town, but the egg slapped on top of some noodles was just a bit silly for me. Also the onions just being no where near caramelized was just like a bit… like come on friends!

Go for dinner, go for brunch, either way you will get great pasta, good service and good drinks. Maybe just skip the “carbonara” because everything else will totally blow your mind, but that one thing is just one pasta with...

We travel from Seattle to Vancouver 3x to 4x per year, and often stop in Bellingham on the way. When we do we often eat at Storia. Storia is very consistent and very good. We stick to their best menu items which are their pasta and pizza crust. On our most recent trip we had the seasonal pesto garden pizza, and the 'truffle' mushroom gnocchi. The pizza was excellent and in fact I'll say I've never had a bad pizza here. The crust is perfect and it's hard to ruin with toppings so long as you keep to fresh ingredients, which they do. The truffle mushroom gnocchi was a disappointment. There was no discernible truffle flavor at all. The soupy sauce caused the gnocchi to swell up and become soggy and mushy. That said, if they marketed this as a 'vegetarian clams in white wine sauce with capers' I would think that this could be a very successful dish so long as they could figure out how to prevent the gnocchi from getting mushy. That said I'm very surprised that this dish did not turn out well. This is a very uncharacteristic experience among our dozens of visits over the years.

My S.O. and I had a craving for some Italian food fare and upon my S.O.'s suggestion we decided to come here for an early dinner. The atmosphere lacked character and it just felt bland and basic. The open kitchen is a nice touch but doesn't do enough to make the wait time for service worth it. I wish I could say our service was forgettable but it was so bad I won't forget for some time to come. Our drink order was forgotten about and when it was brought to us the sodas were watered down. The server treated us like we inconvienced them by being there. Only ever checked on us when we had clearly finished our meal. Our appetizers were good. Their take on roasted brussel sprouts are in our top 3 and their fried rice balls had a delicious sauce with it. The pasta dishes we ordered tasted fresh and left me feeling light. Rather than walking away feeling disgusting and bloated. The food was good, server was trash, and the atmosphere was uninspiring. I'll come back for the food which I suppose is the main point but we're in no rush to go back.
