My daughter and I stopped by Ashuri Baklava & Cafe for a cup of coffee, and it was such a lovely experience. She was born in Beirut, Lebanon, where I had lived for nine years, so finding a place with authentic coffee was important to us—and this café did not disappoint. The Turkish coffee here is the real deal, served either with or without cardamom, and it instantly took me back to the flavors I remember so fondly.

Beyond the coffee, they also offer Turkish delight, baklava, and other treats. The baklava was absolutely delicious, with options like pistachio and walnut that are wonderfully traditional. You can even purchase their coffee to take home, along with a few charming knickknacks they have for sale.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy seating area perfect for enjoying your coffee and pastry. The young gentleman who served us was incredibly kind and attentive, adding to the overall experience.

If you’re in Bellingham and looking for authentic Turkish coffee and sweets, I highly recommend stopping by Ashuri...

I loved this place! The inside was beautiful and thoughtfully decorated a

It sounds like two brothers who were originally from Turkey own the place - but I totally overheard that, so I could be wrong.

I had the cardamom coffee, my husband had the lemon hot fruit tea, we each had a mussel baklava, and we bought some Turkish delight.

Pros The beverages were not made quickly, were fresh, and delicious. The Turkish delight is made sort-of local in Vancouver by a man who uses real fruit juice and was delish. Everything was super clean. The gentleman behind the counter was cleaning up. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons Not really a con, but the baklava wasn’t as crisp as I’m used to. It may be a variety I’ve...

Highly highly highly recommend this place! It is fantastic! Turkish coffee here is the bomb and the many many baklavas are great. The brothers that run this place are very friendly and are from Turkey. I make it a point to come here anytime I'm in Bellingham. Finding parking is rough but totally worth it. The salep orchid drinl is also very delicious! Does not taste floral, just thick and warm and comforting. This place is the bomb and the atmosphere is really nice. It is very small but the decor is great, the music is great, and i love the multitude of plants. One of my favorite places in Bellingham! Definitely check it out if you...

Turkish baklava and Turkish coffee are very good. An exquisite place to try ethnic middle eastern flavors in Bellingham. Fresh Turkish delight and Turkish Halva can be preferred with tea service. You can try the traditional Turkish breakfast. I highly recommend the combination of Turkish bagel, feta cheese, olives and tea. You can also buy boutique Turkish souvenirs at affordable prices. You can choose rugs with Anatolian motifs. Freshly brewed Turkish coffee can also be considered as a souvenir. If you want to experience something affordable and from different cultures, visit this place.
