The beginning of this week; I found my husband in a panic when his iPhone suddenly crashed, leaving him unable to access years worth of important notes, photos, contacts, and other documents. Read moreI'm finding a hard time to fully explain how grateful I am for reaching out to Mitch and his staff for helping me with an emergency data recovery process on my business computer.
A little back story: Being a small business owner, my computer is my essential tool that keeps everything moving on a daily basis. My hard drive crashed with approx. 1 year of un-backed up data. I took it into a larger software/ tech Maintenace company in town which they gratefully dropped what they were doing to assess the problem. Unfortunately, their diagnoses' only solution was to send off the hard drive out of state and have it reconstructed for file extraction with no guarantees or timelines.
I wanted a get a second opinion and found Fixco online and was quite impressed with their reviews. After contacting Mitch, he was available to meet within the hour. He was able to allocate his resources and staff to tackle this issue right away, and after approx. 6 hours. of painstakingly vetting each individual file folders for corruption, they were able to recover all my relevant files and transferred to a new computer. A huge shout out to Caleb who was the main tech working with me on this project. He stayed extremely late and walked me through the whole process of salvaging / reinstalling the files, and during the whole time was super friendly and a pleasure to be around.
Prior to contacting Fixco, my world was falling apart as I battled the fact of losing all my personal/ business/ accounting/ client Info, etc. Not knowing how or where to start to pick the pieces from this catastrophe, it is with great honor to say that Fixco truly saved the day to which I am unmeasurably grateful for their sense of urgency and execution of my situation.

Read moreUpdate They went from 2 stars to 4 stars. Why? When I approached Mitch, the owner, about my iPad, he told me that their parts have a lifetime warranty and that there were some changes in staffing to address the issues that I (and presumably others) might have experienced regarding service quality. It took them a while to repair the iPad this time (given some inclement weather), but now that I’ve used it for at least 24 hours with no issues, they have gained back some trust in terms of service. I would give them five stars, but I was told the iPad would be ready at a specific time, only to show up after that time to find out it was incomplete. I don’t mind that it took long, just that the expectations for me (when to show up for the iPad) weren’t correctly set by the team.
They’re a local business with a good track record, and I did notice they take their time to help each customer. Hopefully, having better team communication or whatever the issue was can avoid situations I was put in the future.
