House of Lexx Tattoo & Piercings — Attraction in Beloit

Warning, long review ahead. Short version: Pros: Friendly staff, seems pretty clean! Cons: piercier obviously tried to fix their crooked nose stud they had put in, and due to the roughness, caused it to swell and hurt more then the other side did that had been done by the same shop.

So, as a first impression, the booths seemed well organized and clean, which is a big deal for anyone coming into a shop for the first time. The employees were friendly and social, and kept everything very lighthearted. It was comfortable not having anyone come off "too" professional, and made me feel relaxed, as if I was with friends or something relative. However, the reason being behind my 3-star rating is the quality of a piercing received by one of the employees there. Originally, we had a piercing set up by a specific piercer there, and had told then we would come in around 1pm, when we came in. That employee did not answer their phone, and we reluctantly decided to go with someone else. (Cassandra) The piercing came in crooked, and after an obvious amount of time spent trying to fix it, caused the nose to hurt WAY more then the other side that had been done in the same shop, however by someone else. Due to the crooked-ness of the piercing, and the rough handling that led to quite a bit of swelling and discomfort, I would have to give my first experience 3-stars. I visited House of Lexx yesterday for a couple arm tattoos. This is such a cool shop and super welcoming and chill. Makes you feel so comfortable upon entering. This shop has some AMAZING artists in one location and the set up inside is so cool.. it's really neat how each artist decorates their space.

Lia / @evoleyestudio worked on my tattoos. I fell in love with a design she posted on her Instagram of a mantis on a mushroom and also requested a spooky kitty. She picked the perfect design for me. Lia is an absolute sweety and her line work is STUNNING. If you like creative/abstract/earthy/nature designs then check her out. She was so kind and instantly makes you feel at ease. She's such a gem and her magic quickly while making you feel super relaxed. She explained the process and tattoo care throughout. Very happy with her work.

I you're a first timer or tattoo lover looking to add to add, definately visit House of lexx. All of the artists have some incredible work posted on their socials and with so many style ranges that you'll be able to get a a piece you'll love.

My friend and I went to house of lexx in October. When we first got them done, they looked great. About two month later and they look awful ( we did clean and care for them properly) I specifically asked if they were good at line work and the person on the phone said “everyone here is good at line work” they are definitely NOT.

My friend got the sun, moon, and rainbow. This is what she has to say about her tattoos. A lot of the dots are still bruised and will probably always be raised because he pushed too hard and all of my lines are so thin that they look nonexistent compared to my other tattoos. Like I feel like if I don’t get them redone, they will fade to gray.

I got the dragonfly tattoo and I’m very disappointed. Some lines are thicker than others. In the first picture of the wing the lines aren’t connected they just end with a ball of ink. On the other wing, he pushed too hard and it’s going to look worse over time.
