Prairie Fields — Attraction in Belvidere Township

This was my first time visiting this park. The grounds were well kept. I visited specifically to watch the Chicago Flyers who were out flying their kites. It was awesome! One of the guys invited me to cross the caution tape so that I could get a better angle with my camera. He then invited me to fly his HQ Symphony 2.2 beach kite. It was so much fun, I think I'm going to buy one of my own.

Prairie Fields is a perfect place for flying a kite....

This isn't my usual pick for a park. This park isn't where you go for old growth trees. It's a huge open space, predominantly for sports that require it. But it has a really nice walking path that goes all the way around it and through it in a couple places. Have to try for whatever reason. It's always windy in Belvidere. But sometimes you have to turn that to your advantage, when you'd like a cool breeze...
