WinCo Foods — Attraction in Bend

The produce manager Bernadette is an intimidating ,unfriendly rude and scary personality. Bernadette is unsuccessful in getting decent produce to the bend store. The avocados are usually always brown and diseased. Bernadette produce clerks are all unfriendly. Bernadette shows no appreciation for any help she could get and demonstrates slavery demeaning tactics in her leadership approach and initial interactions with customers and job applicants. This store is not a place I will ever shop at nor would i ever be willing to work for such bullies. . Bernadette gives customers and applicants for jobs a really hard time upon her initial Interaction with them. Bernadette is really an unpleasant person. I think that speaks.to the company it's self. Bernadette gives customers and applicants a hard time and expects applicants to sell their souls to the company as a slave for Just barely above minimum wage. That is not enough pay to take on all the problems of Bernadette department and winco. The diseased produce Bernadette gets in is not enough to shop there either even though the prices are low. the self check out automated system is also very rude and unfriendly sounding .I think Winco by far is the most unfriendly undeserving of customers grocery store around. Due to the observations witnesses here In Bend. Very off putting merchant. We'll I have news for you Bernadette and winco, life is ours and we live it our way! Not your way! The fact that Bernadette was mean to a potential candidate of employment and long time customer is an issue and speaks very loudly to the fact that Winco is undeserving of customers and quality customer...

The Bend WinCo location is great. The store is very organized and clean. WinCo looks for a variety of ways to offer savings throughout the store For example, They have a wall of savings on various products as you enter. The produce is fresh and great prices on a variety of vegetables and fruits. There is a large bulk foods section offering staple items, unique foods for storage, and supplies for those that prepare and store food. Species, nuts, dried fruits, rices, beans, various flours, including gluten free, and healthy snack items are included. Buy as little or as much as you need, with larger quantities sold by 25# bags, etc. Great for baking supplies, food storage, disaster prepping, survival. Prices are good on most products. The meat department is huge offering beef, pork, chicken, fish, in a variety of offerings. Small and large quantities. Fresh seafood sold by the pound. They also make onsite fresh sushi and poke bowls. Yummm! The premade sandwichs and salads are reasonably priced and make great to go and lunch options to make life easier. The store carries a variety of national brands in different departments, but they also have a large selection of locally made products throughout the store. Winco has it all, and a great store to save money on all of your groceries. Employees are friendly...

I have always loved this store, however that last time I was there the checker slapped a close sign after I had waited in line for about 10 minutes, the people in fro y of me tried to tell her we had been there and there were no other people in ,one behind us. We did not have many groceries in our cart. She agreed to check us out and the people gave me the closed sign. This woman who works there came out of nowhere and started yelling at me and told me to get out of line, I tried to explain but she was t having any of it, she never introduced herself or volunteered to have someone else check me out, just expected me to get at the end of another line. Then she told me to leave now, in a very hostile tone, I told her it was t roght what she was doing and slapped the sign in her hand. We went to the self checkout and here she came with a lead person, who told me she couldn’t have her employees abused!!!! I was close to tears, ever have I been treated so badly. After O explained the situation to her she relented, left then came back alone and said if this ever happens again to ask for her and she would check me out. After she left another employee came up to me and said she had heard the whole thing and they were never supposed to do that to a customer. Everyone else has always been super friendly and helpful except...
