Delish Donuts, North Highway 97, Bend, OR — Restaurant in Bend

These donuts are delicious. They are probably the best I've ever had. That being said, there is more to this review than the quality of food. There is also something to be said for being open when you're supposed to be open. I have been to this store about 4 times but only once have I ever been able to get donuts. That's because the business seems to close whenever they want regardless of hours posted. This is unacceptable. Once or twice sure, but 75% of the time I go there, they're close even with posted hours saying they're open.

So for donuts, I'd give them a 5 . For work etiquette and dependability, I give them a zero. Customers evidently are not the most important thing here. Sad to say, but even with the great taste of these things, I will not be coming back until I know that they're going to be open when they say they will. I have already spent enough gas money for nothing.

You can take a look at the other reviews, they agree that the donuts are great. But no one seems to take into consideration anything else about the business. This is the most honest review you're going to get.

Had a customer from Portland come visit my team and brought us in a couple dozen donuts. I am not a fan of donuts but had a sweet tooth that morning and cut one in 1/2 to have with a cup of coffee. Holy Hannah, the texture, the flavor, this heavenly pastry was Delicious!! The customer didn't know the name of the donut shop he purchased them from so I researched on google to find which donut shop had the photos posted of the boxes that these tasty morsels came in and found Delish!! What a great name, so fitting!!

Delish isn't on my way to work, about 15-20 min out of route from work so I don't travel on Highway 97 (in between Macy's and Hobby Lobby), before heading in. This morning however, I woke up a little earlier to get my team some donuts and stopped on by. I met Julie who is the owner and told her my story and how I needed to stop by to pick up some of their donuts!! What a sweet, nice hard working lady. Been in business for 15 years, survived during Covid crisis, and are still thriving! Gotta be doing something right!!

I would love to actually try the donuts, but I can't get there early enough and EVERY time I try there is a sign that says no afternoon bake today- and there is no way to know that until to arrive. I don't think I'm going to try again.

Update: After seeing the reply, I definitely won't be back. If you're not going to have the afternoon bake any more then just change your posted hours. Also, I gladly pay more for a quality product from a quality company that pays their employees well. I know that's not important to some people, but it's how I choose what companies I patronize.
