Getzow Jewelers — Attraction in Bensalem Township

Just to start this review,I was a customer of Getzow jewelry for twenty years and never did I expect to be treated by basil in this way I have purchased five different expensive pieces from basil and my last purchase was a gold bracelet for my wife and when I gave to her there was a sharp piece of gold that was catching on her clothes so I told my wife basil would fix it ,basil repaired it on the spot but my wife said the clasp was not locking in place so she dropped off again and I spoke to basil and told him about clasp not staying closed and asked if he could put a clasp on it that wouldn’t keep from opening on its own basil put a lobster clasp on it witch is a better clasp then what was on it originally so at this point basil tells me it’s a $90.00 charge to repair the new bracelet we just purchased it for $900.00 not at any time did he admit that it was defective clasp saying it was cost of gold ! After twenty year of doing business with Getzow I would recommend you take your business elsewhere!and it’s not about the $90 dollars it’s about customer service on your defective...

My sister found this spot and after looking at reviews decided to get some jewelry resized. At first we thought the owner, Basil, was just not “welcoming” until our last visit. On the last visit, one of the women was helping her when he approached and said “you seem to be visiting the pizza shop a lot since I last saw you”. Implying she was overweight. How is this good customer service? The woman behind the counter hissed back at him to “remember to be nice” so we can assume this is something that happens often. He continued to mouth off and said “it looks like you’ve gained a good bit of weight since I last saw you”. Who makes it their business to insult and demean a young woman like that. They have lost our business and I am extremely disappointed in how people, including paying customers are treated these days.

I went to Getzow to have a ring designed with diamonds that belonged to my deceased mom and I picked out a setting from their jewelry case. Two weeks later they called an told me my ring was done and it was gorgeous. The diamonds that I used were in set in a bezel necklace and that is how they were on the ring when I went to pick it up BUT that is not the setting I picked from the case. It was made so cheaply and I express my concern that it was not in the right setting that I picked from the case and I was told because the diamonds where old they were not really round so this was the best they could do. They took my gold and additional money for a total of $1,000.00 and the ring was not pretty. I have since went to a different jeweler and when they cleaned the ring one of diamonds fell out and under the diamond was yellow gold. When I told them about my experience they asked if I seen the mold of the ring before they set the diamonds and I told them I had not. I would not recommend Getzow...
