Patel Brothers — Attraction in Bensalem Township

Patel Brothers was such an awesome shopping experience. The store was easy to find and navigating the aisles was fun. I asked a customer about a vegetable I was unfamiliar with and he stopped his shopping to help me. He explained what it was, and even selected the best ones and bagged them for me... everyone was very friendly and helpful. The produce department had very good prices and a large selection of vegetables, fruits and fresh herbs to choose from. I loved the exotic fruit selections they carried. You can easily find all kinds of juices, cereals, instant ramen, all styles of noodles, a huge rice selection, dried beans, nuts, and grains, all types of flours. They have a large selection of frozen foods like paratha, naan, and many traditional dishes ready to warm up and eat. They also have a nice selection of freshly made desserts like gulab jamun. Their snack selections are massive and fun to choose from all the sweet and savory selections. I especially liked the spicy chip type products. Their spice section is huge and packed with every spice and dried herb you could think of. A good selection of personal care products. Henna for hair and hands. Went into this location to grab some lemons and goodies. The whole lemon section was awful. All of them were browning and getting mushy and a lot clearly had mold on them. They were very cold. As if they had been frozen. If they were, no wonder they going bad so fast. Also bought a box of pista burfee and it had mold on it! I tasted a different piece that seemed ok and it had weird texture. The box states to keep frozen or below a certain temperature. They are definitely not being kept at the correct temperature. An open refrigeration section is definitely not keeping anything cold enough. Unfortunately u can’t see inside the box and after you spend $10 to get home and find mold and the rest of the pieces are questionable. Definitely heading to a different store to find better quality. I have been loyal customer for past 15 year. What I love the most about this place is courteous staff. They are very helpful and help us with questions in finding correct product. I want to specially mention the great work Nareshbhai, Cheta and Savan Patel are doing. I have noticed they always dedicatedly working and have great work ethics. During my recent trip, I desperately wanted some very rare items related to particular recipe good for my friend is due for delivery shortly. I was confused and lost but they all came to rescue including one client rep Shardha who infact ran to show me one product that I thought didn’t exist. So I was able to buy all the products on Timely basis. I also noticed there are many items that are highly priced on Amazon can be found here at reasonable price.
