Charged a fee for using a credit card. Didn't tell us they were going to. When I asked why it was so much that's when he told me. Got very rude and hateful. He said you don't have to get this. (We finally found a globe to fit our wagon wheel light we had bought.) Then he yelled at me and said wal mart charges you a fee for using a card. I said no they don't. he loudly said yes they do, just ask the manager. Then a customer in the store stuck her nose in my business. We had gone to several places, even a light fixtures store, looking for the globe that would fit. I thought $5 was a little high, but we needed it. We went home and got the globe so we could see if it was the same. The lady tried to charge me for it too and she saw me bring it in. I told her it was mine. Nice place with lots of selection that goes way beyond the usual large volume of clothes. The store is bigger than I thought and took me a while to get through the store. The staff is also really friendly and helpful. My only complaint, and it's a big one for me, is that nothing is priced. Having to find someone to ask every time I am interested in something is a major inconvenience. This begs the question, is everyone quoted the same price? There are so many items in there how could they possibly remember all the prices? Plus, one member of the staff may give you a different price than another. Yes, it is a charity and all goes to a good cause, but I am on a budget and like to know what I am paying and to be confident I am being...

First experience in a shelter. At the beginning, was impressed. By 2nd day Condemnation, and hopelessness began. Director said find a place for 2 nights. I was dumped of at a truck stop. Returned after 2nd day to be told. They were not going to honor the 3 week commitment once again back to the truck stop. I don't believe that God is looking kindly on leaving a 66 year old woman on the side of the road. They are not praying to the same God I am.
