First time going here but probably won’t go back unless I might want to try and find some home building or home improvement items.
I love a good thrift store but when I shop a thrift store, especially one where ppl donate all of the items being sold, I expect thrift prices.
Not the case here. Prices were unexpectedly high for the majority of the items here and then at least half of the products do not have any prices on them. Actually a lot more than more than half. The books are a good deal at $1 for hardbacks and .50 cents for soft.
Most of the stuff is really really old and outdated but still overpriced. Average sized artwork to hang on your wall $35 and up. With scuffs and scrapes on the framing.
I had to ask about pricing for several items and then finally got a price and one of the items I decided to purchase was behind some large heavy appliances and I told the grouchy, older man who apparently decided the prices that I did want the item behind the other stuff and I assumed he was going to get it and bring it to the front but no he didn’t. I had to go get a cart and try to move the other heavy stuff out of the way and still couldn’t lift it myself.
I’m not sure if this guy is the manager of the store or owner or what but whew boy I can definitely tell that his specialty isn’t customer service or friendliness. And that’s fine because not everyone is cut out for that but I’m legit one of the most laid back easiest going super friendly adaptable ppl that exists, well I mean I believe I am way up there in personality for sure, and even someone like me with my Labrador or golden retriever personality couldn’t crack a smile from this grizzly Adams. Wait, grizzly Adams actually had a really nice smile. Ok is there one of those duck dynasty guys that never smiles and always looks mad? Because that’s what this guy reminded me of. Anyway, nothing wrong with the store. It’s just not really for me unless I get bored one day and wanna look thru some cheap...
Read moreI want to say this is a great store, that helps drive the community. I went in their once to check it out, it’s driven by volunteers in the community. They also help support the local homeless/ needy by offering food in a food box outside of the building. They offer products for resale that have been donated to help raise funds for habitat for humanity, the store is as well run as it can be. I have been their several times to fill the food box because I believe this store is doing great things. It’s prices are not driven for profit, everything is super low cost, affordable to those who have low income. I highly recommend supporting...
