Went to this store for the very first time with my 2 teens Sat. My coworker had actually told me about the one in LR and told me they were opening one in Benton but I had forgotten all about it. We were heading to TJMaxx and then I saw this store so we decided to try it out.
Right when the doors open up front, it has amazing eye appeal. The display and items displayed were the kind that make you want to go on ahead and grab a full size basket because you know you’re going to be finding a ton of stuff that suits your taste and will be filling up a cart. You know how we mentally consider Walmart to Target? Sam’s to Costco and now we can consider $5 Below to Pop Shelf. So PS would be Target or Costco. I know yall know what I’m talking about too lol!
I would also compare this to the home decor section or holiday sections of Big Lots. Lots of really cutesy decor items, and similar to Target and Costco, the price is higher than you could probably get a lot of these things elsewhere.
If you are into Easter, you will LOVE the multiple sections where you can find adorable Easter decor and goodies.
Now myself, I am a crazy plant and wildlife lady and I have hundreds of birds that call my yard and all the trees I have there, home. I can’t keep count of all the bird feeders and I also have bird houses that they are now fighting over. Welp, PS sure got me there. They had an impressive yard and garden section and they had some bird houses I’ve never seen anywhere else before. So I got several new bird houses and even another bird feeder. I am so excited about the grapevine and moss bird house with the really small entrance which is more for finches and smaller birds and will deter the larger birds. I had just saw a video on YouTube the other day about how appealing these grapevine moss bird houses are because they resemble the nests the birds create within branches and leaves and vines.
The woman who checked me out, Jo, was super friendly and helpful! I have ADD and get distracted, overstimulated and overwhelmed easily and even more so now that I’m hitting menopause, and she was friendly and also patient with my scattered brain and wasn’t bothered by my sheltered naivety concerning the self checkout process and the bagging up process and even the signing up for the rewards on the website.
Overall Impression: Cute store with unique and cute items. Very clean, neat and organized and great chance of finding everything you will need to decorate for a specific holiday, party, theme or for finding cute gift ideas for ppl in your life. A little overpriced on most items but I will probably go back when it’s time to look for more holiday or home decor items and especially to see new garden goodies. The fact that you earn reward points on purchases is a huge...
Read moreI have gone to this store three times. The facility is very clean, organized and smells wonderful. The past couple of visits have been less than stellar because of one employee. The first interaction I gave her a pass because no one knows what is going on in a person's life. However, the visit today was my breaking point. I was attempting to self-checkout and a young lady employee was helping me. She explained that I could put my phone number in for the rewards program. When I did that, the register screen indicated that I wasn't a member. I mentioned to the young lady that I have tried to sign up at home, but I keep getting an error message. This is when the older employee interrupted to condescendingly educate me in front of a very populated store that I couldn't sign up on the register. She said that if I wanted to sign up I would have to do it online at popshelf.com. I understand that she's trying to be helpful, but she obviously hadn't heard our initial conversation, plus her superior, cranky attitude was very off putting. I will continue to shop at PopShelf, but I will not be a customer at the Benton,...
Read moreI had lived here a year before I discovered this place, & I can’t believe i’d missed out on it for so long! I had seen it next to Hobby Lobby, but I had no idea what kind of store this was. It’s kind of like a combination of a nicer Dollar General & a Trader Joe’s. My kids love it because they find really fun & very unique snacks there & I was so surprised at how cute their home decor was & at such reasonable prices. They have a little bit of everything. It’s such...
