The Security Guard on the premises is very rude and very unprofessional. We were there yesterday, Thursday, August 21, 2025 around 11:15 am and we are not from that area at all. We were sent there by referral to Building B which we were not told that to begin with until we were there and had to call. We live almost an hour away from there.
When we drove in and looked around at all signs, there was no posting for being a no smoking campus or anything. After we parked, we got out and smoked a cigarette. Ok I know people don't like it and that's fine, but we did look for signs. All signs were about not being responsible for theft in vehicles, parking area, and security cameras in use. The security guard came out and was screaming at us from across the parking lot to put out our cigarette. Ok no problem, I respect rules but there was no sign posted. I put mine out immediately and my husband was trying and he screamed at us again to put them out immediately. I told him I did, I even lifted up my hands to show him and said he was trying too, my husband was having difficulties getting his to go out. A third time he screamed at us again and it was already out then he wanted to inform us that it was a no smoking campus. Only other thing we said to him was my husband told him he didn't have to be so rude and scream at us.
This could have been handled so differently. We didn't know the rules. Maybe we should know this but in our town, when going to clinics it's so many feet from the door unless a sign is posted stating smoke free campus which there are numerous ones posted in the parking lot areas. This security guard could have just told us and then came out to explain but instead he wanted to yell and scream at us even when we did what he said and was just downright rude. By the way, we weren't the only ones, there was 2 others in the parking lot that he screamed at for the same thing after.
He steadily watched us as he walked across the parking lot and kept turning back and watching us even though we put out our cigarette. So he can walk the parking lot to stare you down and give you mean looks but not come talk to you nicely about the rules. It was very uncomfortable the way he kept watching us and glaring at us. Not once did he ever come over and approach us and offer us help when we were standing there looking at each building trying to figure out where we were to go. That situation already made us uncomfortable and here we were confused on top of it. So he can scream at us 3 times but never offer help when you clearly can tell we were lost. He never would get close enough to us so we could speak to him to find out his name. He even went and hid down in area by the building we were going to just to watch us after we figured out where to go. It made me super nervous by his actions.
We finally found a no smoking campus sign, on the door entering into the building. This was the only sign posted that we saw. A small sign as you walked into the building, not one you can visibly see from your car or the parking lot. We respect rules for no smoking knowing others don't like it; however, the way he treated us for it was downright rude and hostile. He needs a course in manners, respect, and how to talk to the public or find a different occupation.
The clinic we were there for, were very respectable and courteous. However, I was very nervous leaving and walking back outside. Afraid of him...
Read moreI cannot express my disgust enough for this hospital. It's always had a bad reputation but the paramedic recommended it so I went with it since I didn't really have a preferred hospital in this area. First, let me just say when the paramedic sent me through the ER he handed my clutch to a staff at the ER but I couldn't see who. Unfortunately, my purse was opened and my driver's license and bank cards were stolen so that's been a grievance. I did file a police report and yes, it was someone at the hospital. After they used me as a cash cow they parked me to the side and left me. I woke up and removed the remaining part of the IV and pads and bandages. I had nerve damage in my right arm for a week and still a little remains but luckily I feel will eventually completely resolve. The paramedic tested my blood sugar and it was low so figured they would test to see if I was a diabetic. Haven't got the tests or call back to know. Not trying to be too vague here because don't want to write a novel. When I woke back up the nurse was very hateful to me and acted like I was doing a lot of drugs or something. I absolutely refuse to do any more than necessary because even what our Drs prescribe aren't much better than other sources. Then she goes on to say that I'm taking "all these narcotics". I don't have any prescribed to me. I take gabapentin OCCASIONALLY at night as needed. Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant. I take tramadol during the day AS NEED for fibromyalgia that I've had since 2006 from an accident from a semi truck. I had also recently just stopped due to a hard fall at workm I had just got out of physical therapy. Cyclobenzaprine is also NOT a narcotic although I forgot the exact classification. This is all verifiable by 5 minutes of research. The tramadol isn't technically but it acts as one so in a way it can be called one. I always research anything given to me because I don't trust and with good reason. I have been on tramadol for many years and have never abused it and have NEVER had any side effects which is why I prefer it. I think this last administration may have bumped it into the narcotics classification since it does perform like one but haven't looked it up since 2006 or so. I also take armour thyroid meds. That's the only one I take daily. Others can be days apart or weeks or months. I am very careful in what I do. Very careful and not just with prescription use. She pulled my history without looking at when they were filled. She labeled prescriptions as narcotics that aren't. I could be wrong but even the lowest level nurse should know this. Whatever happened to me was absolutely not from my thyroid medication I took. She said I shouldn't take more than one a day. They don't even interact with each other. They are in different classifications. I'm just absolutely furious for everything done to me. Wish I could say it all. I might have to collect my thoughts and write to the administrator or other steps. It was disgusting how I...
Read moreI had a rough case of pneumonia a couple of months ago and my husband drove me to the ER. I went im for wheezing and having a hard time breathing and the only reason I came to Saline is because I live close by. I worried about coming because, one; this hosital has a bad reputation, and two; 10+ years ago my sister was admitted with pneumonia and they gave her amoxicillin and she is deathly allergic to that. She even had an allergy bracelet on indicating this and it was listed in her patient info. I have a hard time trusting Saline because of that incident. She almost died and was transferred to Childrens.
I checked in at the front and the lady kept calling me back to the front to ask for my information more than 4 times. It was like she didn't know how to enter the information into the system. Which I really wouldn't have cared about if I wasn't already having issues with my breathing. The waiting room smelled like vomit and it was very unclean. To top it off there was no hand sanitizer anywhere.
When I finally got taken back, I told the nurse and doctor that I had recently been diagnosed with pneumonia and that my PCP said to go to the ER if my wheezing got worse or if I felt like I couldn't breathe. The doctor suggested giving me prednasone. My chart said I was allergic to it. I am VERY allergic to prednasone and most steroids. I said alloud that I cannot take that because I am allergic. The ER doctor said that there was no way I could be allergic to prednasone and that was all he could do for my wheezing. He listened to my lungs and heard that I had a bad wheeze and said that there was nothing he could do if I wouldn't take a medicine I was allergic to, and got quite rude with me and was argumentative with me for refusing to take a drug I was allergic to. He said I could just go home since there was nothing he could do because I wouldn't take prednasone. So I just had to go home in just as much pain and discomfort as I was in when I got there plus feeling frustrated that this doctor argued with me and didn't care about my health and safety.
Now I have a bill for $280 dollars in the mail for literally having this guy tell me he can't do anything for me except give me medicine that I am allergic to only to end up just going back home.
This was alarming to me. I felt unsafe entrusting my health to these people. I was angry he tried to pressure me into taking a drug I knew was unsafe for me. He didn't even try offer any alternative treatment for my breathing other than to go home and take a benadryl and the inhaler I had already been prescribed by my PCP. I hope to never encounter this...
