I worked with Ben to make a wonderful custom three-piece suit for my wedding in May 2023. I reached out to him about 2 months before the wedding. Although I would not normally be the type of person to get a custom suit made from scratch, I initially decided to work with Ben because his pricing was extremely competitive with larger retail chains that sell you a suit based on the model of “off-the-rack + alterations”. Ben did an extremely extensive initial consultation at my apartment where we discussed every aspect of the suit, down to the smallest details. I’m a fairly lanky guy, and as he was measuring me (also extensive) he paid special attention to discussing with me precisely how I would like the suit to fit, and how that would make it look when I was wearing it. After showing him photos of myself in other suits (from the aforementioned retail stores) and a small amount of deliberation, he easily identified why off-the-rack suits don’t fit me very well and specifically designed my suit to avoid those problems. Ben’s attention to detail and kind, confident demeanor gave me 100% confidence that the suit would turn out great.

Making the suit took about 5 weeks. Unfortunately, once the suit was made and Ben brought it to my apartment for the initial fitting, the jacket did not fit like we had discussed (it was too big by a significant margin), and the custom bowtie I ordered did not fit at all (despite the neck of my shirt fitting perfectly). The pants, shirt, and vest fit very well and looked excellent. Ben’s reaction to this made it seem like there had been an error. To be honest, this was a bit disappointing because I was really excited to try on the suit and I was confident it would fit perfectly after the extraordinarily attentive consultation. Nevertheless, Ben got the jacket fixed quickly (less than 1 week), at no additional cost to me. The timing of this was a bit unfortunate since he seemed incredibly busy at the time, and my wedding was fast approaching. I ended up picking up the altered jacket myself from a local tailor shop, and Ben didn’t offer to follow up with me for a second fitting in person. I also had to get the bowtie fixed myself.

In the end, the suit fit very well; better than anything else I have ever worn. It looked amazing at the wedding, and the price was incredibly good compared to retail stores. I just expected the process to be significantly less stressful and more precise, given that is part of Ben's pitch to work with him rather than a big store. Perhaps if I had allowed for 3 months time before the wedding, instead of 2, some aspects of my experience would not have felt...

Ben is amazing! So after a fiasco with an online suit site, I went to google to see the nearest custom suit maker near me. He popped up and my fiance and I seen the reviews and reached out. We set up a call so we could catch the vibe and see if this was the best option for us and it definitely was.

My fiance and I both decided to get custom suits made for our May wedding in Mexico. He also comes to you and does a design session where he doesn't make decisions for you but with you and that was an experience we haven't had before. We designed the suits down to the stitch color and he did not disappoint. I'd add photos but we are planning to do a first look so I'll be back after the wedding! I got my suit first and my goodness it's way better than I expected.

The pricing was also very reasonable. We got exactly what we wanted within our budget.
