American Legion Post 374 — Attraction in Berkley

Was invited here for a chili cook off contest and a silent auction. The night turned out to be a lot of fun. Not only was there the two events but there was a live auction, pie eating contest, circle the pie contest, thorpies for the most money spent on a single item which was pretty fun to watch.

All in all it was a great time. The hall has two halls to rent, which while we were there had an event going on in the hall at street level ad we could hear the dj pimping out the tunes and our event was in the basement hall. Both halls are of decent size and can access a pretty decent size party, gathering, wedding, etc. There are bars on both levels and pretty good dance floor and a large enough area for a wedding party, bridal shower, etc.

Plenty of parking with some handicap parking. Just before not to park in the LUME company's parking lot they will tow your vehicle.

A great bunch of people, very friendly. Always doing something for each other and the community. Facility is clean and inviting. Just the right amount of memorabilia and decorations. Plenty of separate rooms for various events. Really nice backyard BBQ area. Plenty of parking. Full bar and grille with a great staff. They were more than caring and helpful with my mom's wake.
